Kelly Day, 32, stabbed the victim, identified as 50-year-old Larry Young, more than 13 times last Wednesday near a gas station in the 1400 block of East 87th Street. The attack was so brutal and violent that the knife's blade broke off in Larry Young's skull. According to the Chicago Tribune, the stabbing occurred after Day had an encounter with a separate group of people earlier in the day at a McDonald's bathroom.
