Hollywood has a reputation for being a liberal bastion of political correctness. But as these appalling movies show, it wasn't always so. Some of them—such as 1975's Mandingo—are almost fetishistically racist. Others are fantastic movies degraded because stereotypical characters such as Long Duk Dong from "Sixteen Candles" or Mr. Yunioshi from "Breakfast at Tiffany's." We've compiled a list of the worst racist indiscretions made in Hollywood from the very birth of film. And there are a lot. Warning: Some of this material may be upsetting. 21. "North" (1994) had Inuit/Eskimo racism in one ridiculous scene. In this strange and terrible...

An asinine Bloomberg op-ed suggested that maybe it’s best if people who lost energy jobs under President Joe Biden’s eco-extremist agenda don’t get the new green jobs he falsely promised at all. Bloomberg Opinion Editor Mark Gongloff’s op-ed was headlined, “Our Single-Minded Drive to Create Jobs Has Its Drawbacks.” Gongloff’s sub-headline was just as ludicrous: “On some issues, including green energy and immigration, an absence of American jobs can be a good thing.” The story led off with two assumptions that were just awful: “Maybe we don’t actually want green jobs [to rectify for the fossil fuel jobs Biden is...

KEY FACTS The post showed an American flag with the message, “Who’s ready for the Trump Rally tonight?” and the letter “Q,” the symbol for the conspiracy theory. At the bottom of the photo was an acronym for the slogan of the conspiracy theory followers: “Where We Go One, We Go All.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham doesn’t like President Trump ridiculing Christine Blasey Ford, but he insists she’s been given a lot more respect than women who alleged sexual misbehavior in the 1990s. At a forum hosted by the Atlantic, the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, pressed Graham on the president’s behavior. “Everything he said was factual,” the South Carolina senator said initially. “He’s frustrated his nominee has been treated so badly.” Goldberg interjected. “Actually it was a personal, degrading attack on someone who is a private citizen ...” Graham interrupted: "Say what?"

Would appreciate advice from all investment minded Freepers! I've recently come into $100K, and am at a loss as to how to invest it. The stock market seems to be a lottery of policy rather than market forces. Will there be inflation or deflation? Buy real estate while it's low? Sink it into Precious Metals? Emergency supplies? I'm paralyzed, but need to do something with it. Would love to hear what the resourceful people here would do. Thanks for all your ideas!!
