AOC attacks Charlie Kirk on the House floor after voting no on the resolution honoring his life and legacy. What an absolute disgrace. “His rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant, uneducated, and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans, far from the working quote, working tirelessly to promote unity, unquote, asserted by the majority in this resolution.” “It is equally important that Congress does unite to reject the government's attempt to weaponize this moment into an all-out assault on free speech across the country. All in the name of Charlie Kirk.”

Progressive star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tore into Charlie Kirk during a speech on Capitol Hill after Congress voted to honor the late conservative activist. On Friday, the House officially passed a resolution honoring Kirk and his legacy, despite 96 Democrats refusing to explicitly condemn last week's heinous murder at Utah Valley University. A total of 60 Democrats voted against the resolution, with an additional 38 voting ‘present’ - or neutral - and 22 not voting at all. Although the resolution passed with a 310-58 vote, some have raised concerns about the stark difference in response compared to the June assassination of...

More On Nancy Pelosi's Socialist TiesSarasota Herald-Tribune (Florida) March 13, 1999What to call left-wing politicians I find it interesting that the mass media uses such terms as Christian radical right, radical right, far right, conspiratorial right, etc. When the left is mentioned, such terms as liberal, progressive, etc., are used. As an independent but conservative, I have found some information that I consider interesting. I wonder how many people are familiar with the Democratic Socialists of America, which is affiliated with Socialist International of London. At least 58 Democrats in the House of Representatives - about one-fourth of the Democrats...

President Donald Trump already has confirmed he would be on board with designating Antifa, and other far-left radicals across America, as domestic terrorists. His confirmation came in a response to a question from The Center Square. Now the House of Representatives is working on that very project. That same publication now is confirming that the House is expediting legislation brought by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., to do that.

Republicans jammed through a change to Senate rules on Thursday that will allow them to more quickly confirm many of President Donald Trump’s nominees. The move came over the objections of Democrats after bipartisan negotiations collapsed. The rules change will allow nominees to be considered en bloc, or as a group, as tensions have grown over several months between the two parties over the backlog of President Donald Trump’s nominees awaiting Senate confirmation. The vote was 45-53. Bipartisan negotiators worked furiously Thursday to reach an agreement that would head off Republicans from using the so-called nuclear option to allow the...

The House of Representatives burst into chaos as Speaker Mike Johnson attempted to lead a prayer for Charlie Kirk after he was assassinated in Utah on Wednesday. Father-of-two Kirk, 31, the founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative youth organization that regularly holds events on college campuses nationwide, was shot in the neck at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem and died about two and half hours later. His assassination not only devastated many members of Congress who knew the activist personally, but unleashed sadness, confusion and anger among lawmakers in the Capitol on both sides of the...

Yesterday, President Trump announced that he and his various campaign groups, including his Super PACs, have raised an unprecedented $1.5 billion dollars for the coming 2026 mid-term elections. This is all part of his campaign strategy to hold both the U.S. House and Senate. Of course, the former chamber, where the GOP currently has a 220 to 215 edge, is the one that is really in danger of flipping. Remember, this strategy includes: 1) push GOP redistricting; 2) minimize retirements; 3) spend big; 4) take primary challengers off the table; 5) raise gobs more money; 6) ramp up recruiting; and...

The committee will review the Justice Department’s production before releasing any material publicly. The Justice Department is expected to release a portion of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation files to the House Oversight Committee as soon as Friday, marking the culmination of a rare bipartisan demand for records. The scope and contents of the documents remain unknown. We don’t know if this information coming out is new. We don’t know if these are things that members of Congress have seen before. We don’t know if this is information that’s already made it out into the public eye through reporting or through previous...

In what looks like it might prove to be yet more good news for those Americans who want to learn the truth about what was going on with Jeffrey Epstein, the House Oversight Committee will now be able to release some of the documents it has pertaining to Epstein. The news follows the committee having issued a subpoena to the DOJ, in which it demanded the ability to release the documents. As background, the committee issued a subpoena to the DOJ earlier in August in which it requested from Attorney General Pam Bondi and her Department of Justice information pertaining...

The whistleblower reportedly worked for Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee for over ten years, and reported Schiff's alleged behavior to the FBI in 2017. According to the report, the intelligence staffer called the leaking "treasonous" and "illegal," in addition to being unethical. He was most recently interviewed by the FBI in 2023.

Texas Democrats remain on the lam, having fled the Lone Star State to avoid a special session of the legislature called by Gov. Greg Abbott to deal with flood relief and redistricting. By disregarding their legislative duties to deny the House a quorum, these Democrats have effectively abandoned the victims of the deadly July 4 Kerr County deluge and delayed a redistricting plan that would bring the state’s congressional map into compliance with a directive from the U.S. Justice Department to eliminate “coalition districts.” The Democrats object to the plan because it will likely increase the number of Republicans in...

When you think about how important illegal aliens are to the very survival of the Dem Party, everything that’s been happening at our border suddenly makes a lot more twisted sense. Under Biden’s wide-open border disaster, an estimated 10 million illegals have poured into the US, and the left isn’t just content with letting them stay; they’re counting them in the census. That single move skews population numbers, hands Dems more House seats, and tilts the Electoral College in their favor. It’s one of the biggest and most dangerous tactics in their power-grab arsenal, right up there with mass asylum...

I was reading our favorite (ahem) online encyclopedia and noticed something interesting: that the Dems completely dominated the House since the 1950s until circa 1994. How did they pull that off? We're talking 40-50 years until that Republican "revolution". Now I know why it was named as such. What lessons can we learn? It's well before my time but figured FR might know the historical answer! Is it something to do with how districts are/were apportioned which is actually very topical and in the news right now?

Democratic US Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, a key fundraiser for her party, is calling for donations to “directly” support the Texas Democrats who broke quorum to block a vote on the state’s new congressional map. In a fundraising email from her team, Ocasio-Cortez said proceeds will be split with former US Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s Texas political action committee, Powered By People. The PAC raised more than $700,000 for state House Democrats during a similar quorum break in 2021. The fundraising email said Ocasio-Cortez and Powered By People are racing money “to support these lawmakers directly as Gov. (Greg)...

The House Oversight Committee subpoenaed the Justice Department on Tuesday for files in the sex trafficking investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, part of a congressional probe that lawmakers believe may show links to President Donald Trump and other former top officials. The Republican-controlled committee also issued subpoenas for depositions with former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and eight former top law enforcement officials. The committee’s actions showed how even with lawmakers away from Washington on a monthlong break, interest in the Epstein files is still running high. Trump has denied prior knowledge of Epstein’s crimes and claimed...

California Democrats are considering new political maps that could slash five Republican-held House seats in the liberal-leaning state while bolstering Democratic incumbents in other battleground districts. The move comes in direct response to efforts by Texas Republicans to redraw House districts in order to strengthen the GOP hold on the chamber in 2026. A draft plan that’s circulating aims to boost the Democratic margin to 48 of California’s 52 congressional seats, according to a source familiar with the plan who was not authorized to discuss it publicly. That’s up from the 43 seats the party now holds. It would need...
