Four students were stabbed and slashed in three separate clashes on the grounds of Big Apple high schools Tuesday afternoon, cops and sources said. The wave of violence in a little more than an hour saw two students knife each other in Hell’s Kitchen at a building that houses several schools, another student slashed in a gang attack inside the Evander Childs Educational Campus in the Bronx and fourth person stabbed at the Queens High School of Teaching, Liberal Arts and the Sciences. The Hell’s Kitchen incident erupted during a 1:20 p.m. fracas where two boys were knifed — one...

Authorities have finally identified the remains of a New York City teenager coined "Midtown Jane Doe," after her grisly murder spawned a decadeslong cold case investigation. A recent breakthrough owed to advanced forensics linked her DNA to the mother of a woman killed on 9/11. Jane Doe was identified as Patricia Kathleen McGlone, who was just 16 at the time of her death and had previously lived and attended school in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn. Investigators believe she was murdered during the latter half of 1969, or, potentially, at some point in early 1970, said Detective Ryan Glas...

More than 100 migrant kids flooded into one Hell’s Kitchen elementary school — swelling class sizes up to 38 students, The Post has learned. The children — between 100 and 120 — were among the wave of asylum seekers pouring into the Big Apple, including on buses from Texas, some staying at a nearby shelter. PS 111 on West 53rd Street normally has class sizes of 25 to 30. As the classes filled with newcomers, the school wound up sending 15 of the kids to nearby PS 51, where they were enrolled in “transitional bilingual” classes, according to a PS...

A black teacher at Manhattan’s Beacon High School told cheering students to boycott the elite campus Monday after an incident involving a white Jewish girl sparked complaints about a racist environment. “What we’re asking of all students: Do not come to school that day to show solidarity for the support of not just students of color but all students at Beacon in providing a safe space,” said a teacher who identified himself as “Mr. Green” at Friday’s boisterous cafeteria gathering, which was videotaped. “Until the demands are met, students are not to return to school,” the teacher exhorted the crowd...

Vogel's fiance, John Michael Keyser, told NorthJersey.com that the chef's "heart gave out" while receiving treatment for colitis at a local hospital. Colitis is a disease which causes inflammation in the digestive tract. Vogel studied culinary arts at Johnson & Wales. She auditioned for the Gordon Ramsay-hosted show while working at a creperie and bakery in California, NorthJersey.com reported. She also worked as a pastry chef for chef Christine Nunn at Grange in Westwood. She recently worked as the executive chef of Black Rebel Burger in Hackensack, N.J. before it shut down last year. "When she set her mind on...

It’s primary day in New York and as many voters scramble to cast their ballots before, during, and after work, some are also running into unfortunate circumstances. It’s not often that New Yorkers’ votes are pivotal in a presidential primary and many at polling places across the state are determined to make their’s count.... At one polling site at Carlton Avenue and Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, the site coordinator didn’t even bother to show up and it took about an hour-and-a-half to find a replacement so the poll could open. Television and radio contributor John Burnett took to Twitter to...

Turns out it was a crappy idea. The principal of a Hell’s Kitchen HS that used to be among the most violent in the city had students using wooden toilet plungers as hall passes this school year. The half-baked scheme by the second-year principal at the HS of Graphic Communication Arts that placed 2-foot-long plungers in every classroom last month immediately plunged the school into chaos, a source said. “The kids were using the plungers to whack each other, to pop ceiling tiles in the bathroom,” the source said. “They were sticking it in the toilet and then flinging them...

She doesn't have a glorious head of hair and blue eyes to die for. But she's sober and serious and mature. So why choose the pretty guy to run the restaurant in Hell's Kitchen 09? It's all Joan Rivers, all the time. Now she's one of the finalists on Celeb App. 09, but of course. When I heard some woman had a face transplant, I thought it might be Joan. Since we've suffered Ms. Rivers 24/7 this past Celeb App. season, do you think maybe she could lose the thing?

WHEN the quietly spoken Danish chef Rene Redzepi stood before a Melbourne audience last month and said he considered the S.Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants list more valuable to his business than even the hallowed European Michelin Guide, little did he know Noma, his Copenhagen eatery, was about to be elevated from No.10 to No.3 in the latest rankings, announced this week. Good times ahead for the Dane. But this year the real intrigue was not in the elevations or inclusions to the exalted list but the deletions. For the first time since the list began in 2002, Gordon Ramsay...

We've been watching "Hell's Kitchen" 09, or what I call the Cooking and Cussing Show. It's down to three and I think I've got the winner picked. The Donald's "Celebrity Apprentice" 09 continues on and this should be called the Joan River reality show. The cooking challenge will never make Hell's Kitchen but the bickering and cussing might. All with pics and vid you'll find nowhere else on the Internet.
