Police said officers responded to the area of Clifford and Joseph avenues around 8:20 p.m. Sunday for a report of a possible stabbing and found a 42-year-old man suffering from an "apparent laceration." Captain Greg Bello later elaborated, saying officers "arrived to bystanders comforting and performing medical aid to the victim, who sustained a laceration severe enough that it severed his hand from his body."
