The creator of the world has laid down His laws for us in how the world works best. We have an immune system which works best when exposed to the germs that threaten us. We have minds that need to see the world to understand it. The price of the gift of Life is dying to make way for those that follow.

Before the Revolutionary War, residents of the North American colonies were subjects of the British crown. They were entitled to whatever goods and services the aristocracy allowed. Their living conditions and daily activities were determined by government fiat. They paid taxes arbitrarily imposed by the crown. In 1776, the Founders of the U.S.A. rejected centralized dominion and replaced it with a structure that took control away from the central government and gave it to the individual. The new Americans were free to make their own choices and accept the consequences of their decisions, good or bad. Without using the word...

Christianity is the foundation of Western Society. However, many in political and academic arenas deny the historical and current benefits of Christianity. We recently examined the histories of European tribes in the early Middle Ages, from 300 years before to 300 years after conversion to Christianity. Our analysis discovered marked statistical improvements in tribal society measures following conversion to Christianity. Following Christianization, tribal-based populations developed more organized, peaceful, compassionate, and just societies. These early medieval countries, while underdeveloped by today’s standards, laid the groundwork for the constitutional democracies that many enjoy today which provide for economic advancement and judicial fairness...

Washington’s “invasive,” “coercive” and “unprecedented” directive requiring residents to wear a mask or equivalent face covering in public places has been challenged by a lawsuit arguing the state cannot compel citizens to meekly support whatever newest guess the government is making when responding to the COVID-19 virus. Filed in Lewis County Superior Court on Wednesday by the Freedom Foundation on behalf of seven state residents, the action targets the face coverings order issued on June 24 by Washington Secretary of Health Dr. John Wiesman.

@Brady611: What an awesome fricken night in Boise Idaho!!! BLM protest downtown city hall! We out numbered them 5 to 1!!!! About 3,200 people showed up. I saw three different biker clubs, women with sidearms, everybody was Back the Blue. Just overwhelmed them. Awesome night! @Oh Scott: I was happy to welcome the group of patriots with my blue bullhorn. As I told the proud Americans "We aren't about to put up with any looting or violence in our great state". Also see #BoiseProtests for the radical communist side. They claim a 2:1 advantage over the "counter protestors."

I cannot believe I missed my own anniversary. I joined FR 22 years ago, during the height of the Clinton Impeachment. So many great memories. Met Henry Hyde with some local Illinois Freepers, protested Clinton when he was here in Chicago (He turned around and looked at us when I yelled "How's Monica's throat?") and so much more. Hoping some fellow Class of '98'ers chime in and let me know they're still here.

How Beautiful We Were by VANDERLEUN on JUNE 23, 2020 A short list. In no particular order. We told our children that any child could grow up to be President. And then we made it come true. We had car shows, boat shows, beauty shows and dog shows. We ran robots on the surface of Mars by remote control. Our women came from all over the world in all shapes and sizes and hues and scents. We actually believed that all men are created equal and tried to make it come true. Everybody liked our movies and loved our television...

The Department of Justice today filed a statement of interest in a Colorado federal court supporting the First Amendment religious freedom claims of High Plains Harvest Church and its pastor. The statement of interest is part of Attorney General William P. Barr's April 27, 2020 initiative directing Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, Eric Dreiband, and the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, Matthew Schneider, to review state and local policies to ensure that civil liberties are protected during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Especially during a crisis like this, the ability of people of faith to be able to exercise...

GONZALES, Texas - It was a busy night in the town of Gonzales, which is east of San Antonio. A Juneteenth celebration has attracted an armed group that said they are only there to make sure things stay peaceful. "We all come from different creeds, different religions, different political view but today we are human." "Celebrate all you want, protest all you want that's the American way,” said Joe White who helped organize this year’s Gonzales Juneteenth celebration. Friday night, two groups were in the city and while they may have had different messages they had the same goal. "It's...

England was invaded by "Dane" Vikings from Scandinavia who destroyed churches, libraries and defeated all opposition except for 23-year-old King Alfred. Forced into the swampy, tidal marshes of Somerset, Alfred, King of the Anglos and Saxons, began a resistance movement in 878 AD. According to biographer Bishop Asser: "Alfred attacked the whole pagan army fighting ferociously in dense order, and by divine will eventually won the victory." King Alfred's battle song was: "When the enemy comes in a'roarin' like a flood, Coveting the kingdom and hungering for blood, The Lord will raise a standard up and lead His people...

Surgeon General Jerome Adams on Sunday encouraged people to wear a mask to stop the spread of the coronavirus — saying the face coverings don’t infringe on Americans’ “freedom” and will help to get the economy up and running. “Some feel face coverings infringe on their freedom of choice- but if more wear them, we’ll have MORE freedom to go out. Face coverings [leads to] less asymptomatic viral spread [leads to] more places open, and sooner!” Adams wrote on Twitter. “Exercise and promote your freedom by choosing to wear a face covering!” The surgeon general had originally said in February...

Complex organic molecules that could serve as building blocks for life are more ubiquitous than previously thought in cold clouds of gas and dust that give birth to stars and planets, according to astronomers at the University of Arizona Steward Observatory. These molecules also appear much earlier than conventional wisdom suggested, hundreds of thousands of years before stars actually begin to form, the researchers found. Published in The Astrophysical Journal, the results challenge existing theories that require an environment heated by proto-stars—stars in the making—for complex organic molecules to become observable. The study is the first to look for the...

Teleios found that countries that are most free not only demonstrate better average wellbeing, but are associated with numerous economic, legal, security, health, and educational measures associated potentially with enhanced wellbeing for the entire population as well as for women and children. Further, freer countries are much more likely to be Christian. In contrast, countries which persecute Christians are associated with poorer measures of freedom and wellbeing for the entire population. In summary, freedom in Christianity is good for society in promoting a healthy population!

Prof. Jacobson, best known as the founder of the Legal Insurrection blog, has the details here. The good news is that he reports that Dean Eduardo Peñalver "properly has defended my writings as protected within my academic freedom, although he strongly disagrees with my views." While protecting faculty's academic freedom is indeed proper, and in fact the perhaps the most important task a dean is charged with in regard to his faculty, nowadays such action cannot always be assumed, so good for Dean Peñalver.
