DISGRACED 1970s British pop star Gary Glitter will be considered for early release from a Vietnamese prison next month, a jail official said yesterday. Glitter, 62, was sentenced to three years last March, for obscene acts with two girls, 11 and 12. He is on a list to be considered for a presidential amnesty to mark the lunar new year's celebrations next month. "Glitter has respected the jail's regulations, and his re-education is quite good," the official said. Born Paul Francis Gadd, he will have served a third of his term, including time before his trial.
