  • Leftist Delusion Spreading; You Can’t Have Freedom Without Economic Liberty

The American left is becoming more brazen. It feels empowered and unashamed to censor conservative speech on campus and elsewhere. It frankly condemns property rights and the free enterprise system. Its champions like Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren coldly mock prosperous entrepreneurs and even disparage abundant consumer choice on the shelves of grocery and department stores. That worldview is obviously far from America’s cultural and constitutional roots. In choosing the blessings and risks of independence over the security and servitude of colonial dependence, the founders crafted a constitution carefully structured to protect property, contract, and economic rights.
  • WHAT NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW about Ted Cruz’s past.

What No One Seems to Know About Ted Cruz's Past At the FTC, Cruz's agenda could have been written by Milton Friedman. Cruz promoted economic liberty and fought government efforts to rig the marketplace in favor of special interests. Most notably, Cruz launched an initiative to study the government's role in conspiring with established businesses to suppress e-commerce. This initiative ultimately led the U.S. Supreme Court to open up an entire industry to small e-tailers. Based on his early support of disruptive online companies, Cruz has some grounds to call himself the "Uber of American politics." Moreover, and perhaps surprising...

Cruz was once a director at the Federal Trade Commission. He had a remarkable record of convincing Democrats to vote for conservative principles. In his first significant leadership role — as president of the Screen Actors Guild — Ronald Reagan fought communist influence in Hollywood and prevailed in a tough contract negotiation. In his first command — as a captain during the Black Hawk War — Abraham Lincoln overruled his men to prevent the execution of a suspected Potawotami spy. To win his first congressional race, Richard Nixon disingenuously linked his opponent to communist sympathizers, the start of a pattern...

COMMENTARY | Mitt Romney's international excursion included gaffes over Anglo-Saxon heritage and Olympic insults in England, insulting the Palestinian culture in Israel, and getting a hostile reception from the freedom-loving trade union Solidarity aware of Romney's anti-labor stands. Lost in this forgettable foreign policy trip included one of Romney's best moments, when he touted the virtues of economic liberty in Poland. The only question is Romney's commitment to such freedom, which has been in decline throughout the Bush and Obama Administrations...

NASHVILLE - Ali Bokhari, now 39, emigrated from Pakistan in 2000 and eventually settled here as a taxi driver. He soon experienced a quintessentially American itch, a nagging sense that “I cannot grow.” But he had an idea: “I can build a better business model for something Nashville has been missing.” He built it and now knows that no good deed goes unpunished by today’s political model — collusion between entrenched businesses and compliant government. ... Represented by the Austin office of the Institute for Justice, the nation’s only libertarian public interest law firm, Bokhari is seeking judicial recognition of...

I am planning on doing a documentary on socialism in Sweeden, Norway, Denmark and other parts of Europe and Canada. I plan to upload it of Flix, Spike and YOUTUBE as well as a few other channels. It will be possibly in more than two parts. I am doing this because I have been reading up on liberals fawning over the system they have in scandanavia and have been challenged a few times on the subject. This is especially crucial in light of the controversy of universal healthcare ETC. Specifically I need help with acquiring research matrial especially statistics charts...
  • REINING IN THE ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT

With all due respect to the frog in whose name a chunk of land the size of Rhode Island was recently designated a critical habitat, the Endangered Species Act (ESA) tends to be a little wacky. I don't think most of us mind the idea of protecting endangered species per se. It's just that we don't see why the whole exercise can't be balanced out with a little bit of regard for humankind. I mean, more power to the Delhi Sands flower-loving fly for being able to find fulfillment through flower nectar, but you've go to admit that someone's priorities...

What is American Corporatism? By Robert Locke FrontPageMagazine.com | September 13, 2002 We are probably heading into some economic heavy weather which will spur needed debate on what's right and wrong with our economy. This will require our being clear about what kind of economy we really have. I have mentioned before that we increasingly live not in a capitalist society but in a corporatist one, and I would like to flesh out this notion. What is corporatism? In a (somewhat inaccurate) phrase, socialism for the bourgeois. It has the outward form of capitalism in that it preserves private ownership...
