The Air Force's flight test center at the Nevada Test and Training Range continues to grow...the facility has grown dramatically since 2000, including the addition of a massive and mysterious hangar built at the base's southern end...an even larger extension to an existing hangar facility that is quite peculiar in nature points to the possibility that the age of large swarms of unmanned combat air vehicles (UCAVs) has finally arrived. For a year, construction has been underway in a section of the southern ramp area at the base, near where the original A-12 Oxcart hangars still stand. Four more modern...

SPANAWAY, Wash. — A 78-year-old woman from Spanaway held an intruder at gunpoint after finding the man breaking into her home, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office. The woman, who goes by Sandy, knew something was wrong when her dog, Booboo, started barking Sunday night. “I opened my door, and standing right 2, 3 feet in front of me was a man. We looked at each other for a few seconds, and he turned and started to leave. And I said, ‘Oh no, you don’t. You stay right there!’” she said. Sandy said her neighborhood has been plagued by...

The Air Force Secretly Designed, Built, and Flew a Brand-New Fighter Jet And it all happened in just one year. Yes, that's mind-blowing. The U.S. Air Force revealed this week that it has secretly designed, built, and tested a new prototype fighter jet. The fighter, about which we know virtually nothing, has already flown and “broken records.” (The image above is Air Force concept art from 2018). The Air Force must now consider how it will buy the new fighter as it struggles to acquire everything from intercontinental ballistic missiles to bombers. The Air Force’s head of acquisition, Will Roper,...

The legal team defending Kyle Rittenhouse, who faces murder charges in connection with the deaths of two men in the Kenosha, Wisconsin, riots last week, has fired its first salvo in its defense of the 17-year-old. Rittenhouse is being defended by the law firm of Pierce Bainbridge as the result of extensive efforts on behalf of the Illinois youth by attorney Lin Wood and the #FightBack Foundation, which is helping to defray the costs of his defense, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Wood, who has represented Covington, Kentucky, teenager Nicholas Sandmann in his defamation lawsuits against CNN, The Washington...

Does anyone have any well informed suggestions for purchasing pepper spray for personal protection? Cost is not really an issue. I'm interested in brands that are most effective, easy to use without spraying it by mistake, reliable online vendors, etc.

It has become all the rage. That is, to partially defend Kyle’s actions as probable self defense, but then to raise the following stipulations. First up, Leon Wolf writing at The Blaze. Kyle Rittenhouse should not have been patrolling the streets of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Tuesday night. Whatever failures might have existed on the part of state and local government (and there appear to have been many), the idea of a 17-year-old with a loaded rifle being dropped into that powder keg can only happen when some horribly bad judgment has occurred. We’ll get to that in a minute. Next up,...

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is furious at President Trump for his decision to reduce the number of US troops stationed in Germany by 12,000. "I find his assertion that it is time that Germany start defending itself rich with irony," Merkel said. "Not too long before the US occupation German troops were defending a large portion of the European continent from foreign invaders. The stability of that situation was disrupted by the violent intervention of the United States and its allies. The destruction of our army left us defenseless. As the chief architect of that disaster it is America's responsibility...

Image from indystar.com video, cropped, scaled, arrows and lettering added by Dean Weingarten In the seeming never-ending riots portrayed as “peaceful protests” by the Progressive left, including most of the Media, there are an increasing number of drivers/passengers involved in vehicle encounters with agitators/protestors.There are numerous responses on Internet forums about how to handle a situation where a person or persons in a vehicle encounter, often unexpectedly, agitators/protestors who are aggressively blocking a public right of way. Many of these responses are very dangerous. It seems to be precisely what is desired by the Progressive left, such as Antifa and...

Homeland missile defense faces an uncertain future. The U.S. deploys 44 ground-based interceptors to Alaska and California and a global sensor network to defend the homeland from a limited attack. But as these systems age and the foreign missile threat grows, the U.S. needs to commit to ensuring an adequate missile defense for the future. A strong missile defense offers many benefits. Most importantly, it can save hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of American lives, from a limited nuclear attack. It also serves as a deterrent. By lowering the probability that an attack will succeed, it forces states like North...

Under President Barack Obama, and President Bush before him, America's admirals and generals have utterly failed to prepare us to fight adversaries such as Russia and China. The worst kept secret in the Pentagon is that the U.S. military may well lose a war to China. In scenario after scenario, war game after war game, our military keeps losing. Why? Because for decades, America's admirals and generals have invested trillions of taxpayer dollars in legacy military systems that made admirals and generals feel good (manned fighter aircraft, aircraft carriers) but made us increasingly vulnerable to competitors, namely China and Russia....

Hayes pursed 36-year-old Seth Robertson, catching him at 56th and Grant streets, and executing him with several shots to the chest.Hays then pursued the second victim, who was able to physically engage Hays. The second victim was wounded. A bullet from Hays gun hit a...

The U.S. Senate on Thursday passed its version of the National Defense Authorization Act, a $740 billion bill setting policy for the Pentagon that President Donald Trump has threatened to veto over a provision removing Confederate names from military bases. The vote was 86-14, one of the few times the Republican-led Senate has broken from the president, and could pave the way for a fight later this year with the White House. The Senate and Democratic-led House of Representatives each passed versions of the bill, known as the NDAA, with far more than the two-thirds majorities needed to override a...

Kim Gardner, the radical St. Louis prosecutor, has asked for and obtained a warrant to seize the rifle and pistol used to defend a St. Louis couple's home, where hundreds of protesters trespassed and screamed at them on Sunday, 28 June, 2020. It appears the charge used by far-left St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner, to confiscate McClosky's firearms, is Missouri statute 571.030, Unlawful use of weapons. Bold added for emphasis: *571.030. Unlawful use of weapons — exceptions — penalties. — 1. A person commits the offense of unlawful use of weapons, except as otherwise provided by sections 571.101 to...

Beijing will place unspecified sanctions on Lockheed Martin for its involvement in the latest U.S. arms sales to Taiwan, the second time this week that the regime announced punitive measures against individuals and entities in the United States. The U.S. state department last week approved a request by Taiwan to update its Patriot surface-to-air missiles at an estimated cost of $620 million. U.S. defense giant Lockheed Martin is the main contractor for this deal. The Chinese regime, which considers self-ruled Taiwan as part of its territory, has vowed to unify the island by force, if necessary, and has consistently opposed...
