Boxing Day morning is traditionally a time for long sleeps and leisurely breakfasts. But while most of Britain takes it easy after yesterday’s festivities, little Arthur Jones will be out in the Dorset countryside mending fences. Many winter mornings have seen him out in the fields, hammering tacks into a post, wearing his favourite tweed cap. He also feeds the sheep, rattling a tiny pail containing a handful of pellets. ‘Come on Twinkle!’ he calls to a ewe with a dense white fleece and a calm demeanour, who dutifully trots across to him. So far, so ordinary for a hard-working...

Owning a pet dog has always had its downsides. Teeth marks on shoes and accidents on the kitchen floor are just some of the bad habits owners are willing to overlook in light of the endless affection, loyalty and playfulness provided by a pet pooch. But now owners are getting their own back on their naughty pets by posting their pictures in a 'dogshaming' gallery on the internet. A baby squirrel is finding a home of sorts alongside a cat and her kittens in Michigan. Eight-year-old Bailee Schultz heard the squirrel whimpering a few weeks ago in a wooded area of his grandparents' property in Bay County's Bangor Township. Stephanie Box tells MLive.com (http://bit.ly/IX2Oqj ) Bailee brought her to the squirrel, which was under a nest. Box says she placed the squirrel they call Bushytail with her cat, Oreo, who recently gave birth to five kittens. The next day, Box says the squirrel was nursing side-by-side with the kittens. They've also seen Oreo lick Bushytail.

Beijing officials reaffirmed China's commitment to the euro currency and the European economy as uncertainty grows over whether E.U. officials can quickly recover from their debt crisis. In a statement to reporters, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said he hopes Europe has the ability and wisdom to overcome its debt crisis and ensure the safety of Chinese investments. Approximately 25 percent of China's huge $2.8 trillion foreign exchange reserves are invested in euro-dominated assets, making Beijing vulnerable if the currency declines. While some analysts say China must stay the course despite deepening crisis in member states such as Italy and...

The moment was captured at the Odessa Zoo, Ukraine, and stopped visitors in their tracks as they passed by the enclosure. As the baby deer rested in the shade during a warm summers day the domestic zoo cat approached. After a quick hello both decided a bit of sleep was in order and the ginger moggy nestled peacefully into the side of the deer. Photographer Vitaly Ktach snapped the special moments and said everyone was watching on in amazement. 'The affectionate behaviour of the cat towards the young deer had myself and other visitors watching in disbelief,' explained Ktach. 'The...

I am going to start off by saying that the cat in this video is one of the cutest cats I've ever seen. You could sit around and watch cat videos all day and never will you come across a more adorable kitty. On second thought, surprised kitty was pretty cute, but "Begging Kitty" is most definitely a contender for cutest kitty on the internet. The way this kitty begs for attention makes you just want to give it a treat or something. The only sad part is knowing that this cat literally put its hands together and begged for...

I received this video in an email from my Uncle. I really don't know who's children these are, but considering I have hundreds of relatives around America that I have never met, I will not even attempt to guess who's children they are. I did ask who they are, but he and his wife are somewhere over the Atlantic on their way to France right now. If I could have played a guitar this good at that age, I do think my occupation would have been much different then it is today. These boys are good, considering their age....

She wanted to give him a glimpse of home. Lesan Gouge’s plan was to snap pictures of herself at various locations in Destin, and send them to her boyfriend Jeff who is deployed. Then, her innate sense of humor took hold and “Replacement Jeff” joined her in the photographs. Replacement Jeff is a “high class” blowup doll, dressed in shorts, a striped shirt and a baseball cap. At about five-feet-tall with a painted on mustache, Replacement Jeff doesn’t resemble the real Jeff, but he’s great for the photographs. “This one is so quiet,” Gouge said of the doll with a...

Four kittens tumble and fumble for a place at their mother's belly. It's a common springtime sight -- except one thing. These kittens are probably the only ones in Snohomish County with an Australian shepherd for a mama. Colleen and Robert Nesseth's dog, Lakota, took charge of an orphaned litter of kittens two weeks ago. A car hit and killed the mother cat in early May. When the family found her kittens in their barn and brought them inside, mewing in a box, something unexpected happened. Lakota trotted over and began grooming the kittens, two white and two black. Soon,...
