An alliance between Big Tech and leftist papers to suppress dissent is a deeply sinister thing. The amount of scorn required for this already troubling work to then be outsourced to partisan college kids is incredible.USA Today uses left-wing college interns to censor news media and opinion articles they disagree with, working hand in glove with unaccountable social media giants to suppress it. Newspapers earn a lot of money performing this task for Facebook and its related companies, and are proud of the job they do to police public speech, even bragging about it publicly on social media platforms. If you...

After a U.S. airstrike killed Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran's Quds military force, in Baghdad on Thursday, Iran vowed "crushing revenge" against all responsible. Now, with #NoWarinIran, #TrumpsWar and #WorldWarIII trending on Twitter, users are looking into the draft — particularly college students about how the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) could play into their potential future military service

I’m assured that, on occasion, learning still happens on college campuses. I have not detected any evidence of this, but I accept it as a matter of faith. People I trust have assured me that universities are not just bastions of cultish indoctrination — there’s a lot of sex and beer pong, too. But sometimes, I’m informed, a rebellious student might endeavor to adsorb an actual fact or piece of knowledge. Again, I cannot independently confirm this shocking claim. These rogue learners aside, it’s obvious that college is often a place where students go to erase from their minds any...

As college tuition keeps rising, so does student debt. Asked about ways to make higher education more affordable, 59 percent of Americans “strongly agreed” that colleges and universities should reduce tuition and fees, and 46 percent said companies should provide more assistance to their employees. Forty percent said the federal government should provide more assistance, 38 percent said state governments should provide more, and 38 percent said community-based scholarship organizations should provide more assistance. …

Younger voters are usually liberal anyway - until they get a real job and see how much the government takes out of their paycheck. By the time they get married and have kids, the natural equilibrium in politics is re-established and a majority become Republicans. But how could they have been fooled by such a charlatan? A new study shows that college students fail to develop critical thinking skills.McClatchy: An unprecedented study that followed several thousand undergraduates through four years of college found that large numbers didn't learn the critical thinking, complex reasoning and written communication skills that are...

In a move that the White House would probably call both "unexpected" and "unprecedented," (because they call just about everything either unexpected or unprecedented), the latest Pew research study indicates that President Obama's Democratic Party may be losing its stranglehold on young voters of the millennial generation (aged 18-34) Millennials were huge in helping the democrats build their majority in 2006 and 2008 elections. The held over a two to one advantage advantage over the GOP just two years ago (62% to 30%), but by the end of the year the 32 point margin shrunk to 14 points(54% to 40%)...

It’s “not dead yet…” http://www.redstate.com/moe_lane/2009/12/18/correcting-the-record-on-organizing-for-america/ to quote Monty Python. Organizing for America is a hollow shell. It’s been a hollow shell from pretty much the moment that it stopped being a ’sexy*’ campaign tool that didn’t actually require its members to do anything except hand over money and votes. Not an empty shell, either. OFA. Organizing for America. An arm of the DNC that operates under the auspices of our so-called “Thief in Chief.” I have been frustrated with all the crapola going down in DC, and couldn’t figure out why Conservatives are losing all the time. But I have...

By Kalani Leifer Opinions Columnist Friday, May 13, 2005 last updated May 12, 2005 7:58 PM In the spirit of one of Stanford's most enduring and productive traditions, White Plaza has once again become the stage for political demonstration. Don't worry, though, you won't find anything controversial like mock same-sex marriages or miniature anti-abortion cemeteries. And while the present display of youthful involvement is being staged by a partisan organization -- the Stanford Democrats -- it should by all means be a bipartisan endeavor. One of the U.S. Senate's own most enduring and productive traditions, the filibuster, is in danger...
