Three of Code Pink's stooges ate their groul while Medea and Gail looked over them. My apologies to the "Three Stooges", but the parody is too good to ignore. (photoshop by [Mrs] T). This lady (BELOW) was from Texas. During one of our verbal exchanges that she was losing, her words to us were, "Go to hell". FReepers in attendance this clear cool night were: BillF, BMWcyle, BufordP, PortCall24, TrueBlackMan and myself. It was great to see the support of those FReepers who came out this Halloween night. It was interesting to also hear what chores we had to promise...

Neighbors: Code Pink quietIt's a shame the Mr. Emerling didn't speak to those who don't like CP being on their block. From Page 1 of the web site: Excerpt: "Members of an antiwar group with a penchant for dramatic and faux-bloody protests in the halls of Congress have proved to be model citizens a few blocks away in their Capitol Hill town house." Excerpt: "But Renee Howell and Ruhani Syed, who have lived near the intersection of Fifth and H streets for 14 years, described group members as calm and pleasant in the community." Excerpt: "Doug Townsend, another neighbor whose...

Members of an antiwar group with a penchant for dramatic and faux-bloody protests in the halls of Congress have proved to be model citizens a few blocks away in their Capitol Hill town house. Code Pink — a mostly female protest group best known for their pink costumes — has taken up residence in a Northeast house within walking distance of the Capitol. And while some in the politically astute neighborhood say they disagree with Code Pink's views or tactics, they also say the group hasn't proved to be too disruptive a neighbor. "I have not liked it simply because...

An Iraq war protester who got within inches of Condoleezza Rice at a hearing last week said she was shocked that tighter security did not prevent her from coming so close to the secretary of state. If there had been more security at the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing, protester Desiree Anita Ali-Fairooz said, she probably wouldn’t have approached Rice. “I anticipated that she would have been surrounded by SS [Secret Service] or by private security,” she said. Photos from the hearing show Ali-Fairooz sticking her hands, which had been soaked in fake blood, in the face of a startled...

If the "peace" movement holds a protest and no one in the press covers it, does it still exist? If Americans are sick of the war, they're also sick of the "antiwar." Even the media have grown antiwar-weary. Rallies on Oct. 27 drew only perfunctory news mentions. The peaceniks have become a bipartisan political problem, now that the Democrats who control Congress haven't dared to placate the radicals by cutting off money for the troops. Cindy Sheehan is threatening to run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. But suddenly -- surprise, surprise -- the media aren't interested in Sheehan's new crusade....

Halloween for Codepink By Manon McKinnon Published 10/30/2007 Last week -- in the role of Elvira the Witch -- I hosted a spooky-fun Halloween party for my grandchildren. A few days later I saw in the newspaper that Condoleezza Rice was at a Halloween party, too, at which a really scary witch was flailing her bloody hands in Condi's face and screeching. Oh, wait. It says here "War protester rushes official before hearing on Capitol Hill" So it's not a Halloween party after all; it's "Desiree Anita Ali-Fairooz, of feminist antiwar group Codepink, accosted Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice yesterday...

Over the weekend, anti-war protesters filled the streets of San Francisco chanting their new anti-war mantra, Support the Troops - End the War! These are the same folks who have been calling our troops baby killers, accusing them of raping, torturing and murdering innocent women and children around the world since Woodstock, free sex, homegrown marijuana and Jimmy Hendrix… You think they really support our troops? They represent themselves as the real supporters of our troops, those brave patriots willing to retreat in defeat, in support of the troops they have spent a lifetime maligning, of course. Can you imagine...

Stephanie Burns and Ben Parkinson strolled down sun-drenched Fillmore Street with political thievery on their minds. Both are grass-roots volunteers for Republican presidential contender Ron Paul, a Texas congressman whose libertarian views might seem to make him a tough sell in this legendarily left-wing city. But Burns, Parkinson and other Paul supporters have been spending their weekends marching, staffing tables and knocking on doors in an improbable quest: picking up some of California's 173 convention delegates in the Feb. 5 primary. On the surface, the plan seems quixotic given general assumptions about California: that the state is too big for...

Smithfield NC -- A large protest, and a larger counter-protest caused local police to be out in full-force today here. Yet, no violence occured. Harsh words were lobbied to and fro but in the end, the event ended just as it began, passion-filled and peacefully. Katy's Conservative Corner has a number of interviews, both with the Code Pink and Victims of Torture protestors, along with counter-protestors from a Gathering of Eagles and Rolling Thunder. Up to 40 different groups were represented.

FReepers in attendance this rainy night were: BillF, BufordP, Kristinn, Olney-Keith, TrueBlackMan and myself. We had some good discussions with the Code Pinkos this week. They even admitted that all they are doing is training leftists to be lobbying activists. Sounds like a business in a residential zone to me. TrueBlackMan took pics and some video. I finally remembered my lessons on [Mrs] T's camera but the rain made taking them difficult. TrueBlackMan had a FReeper helping him hold a large umbrella over his camera so they will be better than mine (hanging head low) once he posts or links...

Group waiting for action on Code Pink digs Tom Knott October 25, 2007 Kristinn Taylor, co-leader of the D.C. chapter of FreeRepublic.com, is hoping that the city eventually addresses the de-facto hotel/lobbying operation run by the group Code Pink from a residentially zoned five-bedroom row house at 712 Fifth St. NE. Mr. Taylor's puzzlement is understandable, for the Code Pink provocateurs advertise the apparent zoning violations on their Web site, www.codepink4peace.org. "The bedrooms vary in size and can house two to four activists in each," the far-left group writes in the D.C. section of the site. The Code Pinkies say...

Wednesday was yet another eventful day in the hallowed halls of Congress. Screaming, "War Criminal!" at our own Secretary of State, Dr. Condoleezza Rice, Code Pink followers exchanged their lovely, subdued pink costumes for the more easily identifiable blood-red. Painting their hands and our walls bright red is, in my mind, a more honest portrayal of the Marxist group's intentions in America, and provides a little more revelation for those who get all their news from the mainstream media complex and the Daily Show. Are the Democrats beginning to wake up in light of this revelatory "coming-out" of the Pinkos?...

Tonite's show will include a panel discussion about the menacing behavior Code Pink displayed yesterday at a House Foreign Relations Committee hearing. I believe the show starts at 7 pm Eastern. Don't know where in the hour it will be, but I suspect early in the show.

Admittance to hearings is not by queue. How did this Desiree Farooz get, not only into the hearing room, but close to Mme. Rice? Which moonbat authorized her entry? Is there any way to find out?

An anti-war demonstrator accosted Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as she arrived to testify at a hearing on Capitol Hill, shouting "war criminal" before being dragged away by security. Members of the Capitol Police department also removed several members of the anti-war group "Code Pink" from the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing room, who struggled as they left. The hearing began on schedule and Rice's testimony did not appear to be affected by the incident.

This is the puddle where a heroic act of lifesaving occured that evening. While I was not witness to the actual event, Mr Trooprally filled me in on the details later: During one of the downpours, our fearless leader Kristinn saw a moth helplessly flailing about in a large puddle at the entrance to Walter Reed (see photo above). With no concern for his own safety, he waded out into the aformentioned puddle until he came upon the hapless creature. Having though through the rescue attempt beforehand, he had armed himself with a leaf which he would use as a...
