Its the day we've been waiting for here in Pennsylvania. Yesterday was the day for six or more robocalls on my phone ahead of today's primary election. Now I get to vote in the Republican Primary. Meanwhile, the Democrat Primary may deliver the coup de grace to Arlen Specter. Congressman Joe Sestak has waged a generally hard left outsider campaign skillfully with less money than Arlen has in his war chest. Sestak is polling close to Specter and may actually pull it off. If he does, those of us conservatives and patriots who have been eager to "beat" Specter can...

Chuck DeVore is a solid conservative, very well-qualified to be senator or to hold other important offices or positions, but he doesn’t seem to have a prayer of both overtaking Carly Fiorina and defeating Tom Campbell in the June 8 Republican senate primary. He should drop out and, following Sarah Palin’s lead, endorse Fiorina for the good of the conservative movement, the state, and the nation. I’m not going to attempt to compare Fiorina to DeVore: That would have been a more worthwhile undertaking if Campbell, supposedly at the behest of gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman, hadn’t switched to the senate...

AJM: Hello Mr. Hunter, thanks for calling back. You actually have some time now? DH: Well, I'm waiting in line for jury pool selection, so I have time until they call us in. AJM: That's great. Let me put you on my speaker phone so I can record this. DH: By the way. Can you get a hold of Chuck DeVore? AJM: yeah, I think so. DH: I finally got the chance to listen to his message last night he left on my phone last week. Call him and tell him I'd be more than happy to endorse him. AJM:...

Hours after Republican U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina contributed $1.1 million more of her own money to her primary campaign, a new snapshot poll Friday showed her faring worse in a head-to-head matchup against incumbent Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer than former South Bay Rep. Tom Campbell. A May 12 Rasmussen poll of 500 likely voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points, shows Boxer leading Campbell 42 percent to 41 percent while the senator tops Fiorina by seven percentage points. Orange County Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, R-Irvine, fares better than Fiorina in a head-to-head matchup, trailing...

Some time after he bowed out of the governor's race in January and jumped into the California GOP primary to challenge Sen. Barbara Boxer, Tom Campbell turned from a mild-mannered law professor into Rambo. Professor Rambo. He wrote a piece for www.foxandhoundsdaily.com against "Mirandizing" (reading Miranda rights to) terrorism suspects. He supports the new pumped-up Arizona immigration law. Manmade global warming? Campbell told The Chronicle's editorial board that he goes by what he reads in the Economist. And: "I must say, the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) made a hash of it." Campbell has held a special place in...

Open Letter to Carly Fiorina: Please Quit and Support Chuck DeVore Posted on 15 May 2010 by admin Share I am offering an open, heartfelt letter to Carly Fiorina, GOP candidate for U.S. Senate in California. I hope many people will send it to her and she will take this advice. I give this advice, as someone not paid for this commentary by any individual or by any campaign, though I do support Chuck DeVore. I write this to you Carly, because I am your age, I have been covering politics since the late 1970s and I have seen a...

Sarah Palin's Political Bandwagon Is wobbling Under The Weight of Contradictions The Sarah Palin phenomenon is finally beginning to fade as contradictions mount up, says Alex Spillius in Washington Alex Spillius 15 May 2010 We are seeing the first signs of wobble on the Sarah Palin bandwagon. This may seem a strange thing to say about a political superstar who has earned at least $12 million in the past 18 months from a publishing advance, personal appearance fees and a television punditry contract, not to forget a reality show about life in Alaska. Palin is such a boon to the...

<p>Sarah Palin predicted Friday that a new wave of antiabortion feminists, including California Senate candidate Carly Fiorina, will soon take power in Washington.</p>
<p>"This year will be remembered as the year that commonsense conservative women get things done for our country," Palin said at the Susan B. Anthony List Celebration of Life Breakfast in Washington.</p>

It's something we've been mulling over for days... We've been wondering why Sarah Palin endorsed Carly Fiorina over Chuck DeVore in the battle to unseat California's Leftist Queen Imbecile "Don't call me ma'am" Barbara Boxer. We interviewed DeVore on our program a couple of weeks ago. We liked him. He's got military cred. He has a strongly conservative voting record as a California State Assemblyman. He's been vetted and endorsed by Melanie Morgan's newly formed organization "Warriors for Congress", and he passed muster with flying colors. I admit we're as disappointed as we are puzzled at why Palin would endorse...

For the second time this week the McCain campaign tried to disentangle itself from embarrassing comments made by surrogates stumping for the Republican presidential candidate. Earlier this week, Sen. John McCain rejected a statement by his top economics adviser, former Sen. Phil Gramm, who complained that America is "a nation of whiners" and the country is in a "mental recession." McCain joked Thursday that Gramm, once touted as a possible Treasury secretary in a McCain administration, would make a good ambassador to Belarus. Today the campaign tried to recover from a comment by Carly Fiorina, McCain's most visible woman surrogate...

On the Propositions: Prop. 13. Seismic Retrofits. YES: Earthquake proofing your house shouldn’t trigger a tax increase until you’re ready to sell. Any questions? Prop. 14. Distorted Primary. NO: This was the result of the corrupt deal for the tax increase engineered by Abel Maldonado that included this measure to by-pass party primaries in a manner Maldonado believed would enhance his future election prospects. Instead of voters of each party putting their best candidate forward, this jerry-rigged system is designed to disguise the difference between the parties and force those pesky third parties off the general election ballot entirely. Prop....

Is Carly Fiorina pro-life? The question has come to the fore of late, as she publicly contemplates a candidacy for United States Senate against Barbara Boxer — and as her opponent for the California Republicans’ nomination in that race, Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, has publicly questioned her pro-life credentials. (Full disclosure: I’m a member of the DeVore campaign, so read the following with Reagan’s appropriated Russian dictum to “trust, but verify,” in mind.) An examination of the Fiorina record on this topic reveals worrying inconsistencies. Any review of Fiorina’s pro-life convictions must acknowledge that for the past 20 months, when pressed...

The following is allegedly an email from Tom Campbell. "David" wrote to him asking for clarification of his position on using the TSA "No-fly" list to prohibit the purchase or possession of a firearm by a listed individual. Mr. Campbell supposedly supports using the TSA's list to deny Americans their Constitutional right to keep and bear arms and to do so without a trial... ----- Forwarded Message ----From: Tom Campbell To:Sent: Thu, May 13, 2010 9:15:16 AMSubject: Thank you for contacting me - Tom Campbell Dear David, Thank you for taking the time to provide me with your insight about...

Former Hewlett-Packard executive Carly Fiorina is providing her Senate campaign in California with another $1.1 million as the state's GOP primary draws near. Fiorina's campaign spokesman Julie Soderlund said Friday the additional money will allow Fiorina to buy more television advertising and is further proof she's in the race to win. Fiorina already had lent the campaign $2.5 million.

Running last in most polls, Republican Assemblyman Chuck DeVore says he knows what would allow him to win California's GOP Senate primary: a murder-suicide pact. His thinking goes like this: In the final days of the campaign, former businesswoman Carly Fiorina uses her advertising to beat up on frontrunner former Rep. Tom Campbell - that would be the murder - and then Fiorina pays the price with voters for going negative - that would be the suicide.

Embattled Democratic incumbent Barbara Boxer remains in a virtual tie with Republican challenger Tom Campbell, but two other GOP hopefuls are still failing to gain traction in California’s race for the U.S. Senate. A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in California shows Boxer with 42% support in a match-up with Campbell, a former congressman, who earns 41%. Five percent (5%) prefer some other candidate, and 12% remain undecided. These numbers have changed little since March and April. But Boxer now posts a 45% to 38% lead over former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina. Given that match-up, four percent...

According to a new poll of 10,000 Tea Party members in California, Chuck DeVore is the overwhelming favorite in the GOP Senate race to win the June 8 primary over his two Republican opponents. Senate: Tom Campbell 12% Chuck DeVore 54% Carly Fiorina 21% Other 13% A poll done statewide by SurveyUSA last week showed DeVore in third place but moving up, while Carly Fiorina had dropped 5-10 points in certain demographics. See here. Carly Fiorina, a former aide to John McCain during his 2008 run for president, was recently endorsed by Sarah Palin, McCain’sformer running mate. Palin has received...
