Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker delivered a powerful address espousing Christian values to a group of graduates at Benedictine College on Saturday. Now, the NFL is saying they disagree with Butker. In his commencement speech, the Butker blasted President Joe Biden for his pro-abortion stances, urged male grads to embrace masculinity, and championed the virtues of motherhood by telling female graduates there is no higher calling than being a homemaker. On Wednesday, in a statement to People, NFL Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Jonathan Beane clarified that Butker’s values are not the NFL’s. “Harrison Butker gave a...

As it becomes increasingly obvious that homeschoolers do significantly better than victims of government “education” on every academic metric, apologists for the public-school system often fall back on their “socialization” mantra. But under its true definition, “socialization” is hardly something to be desired. And under the commonly held understanding of socialization — gaining certain desirable social skills — the data show clearly that home-educated children outperform public school students on every key indicator. Before examining the issue of “socialization,” it helps to define the term itself. According to Encyclopedia Britannica, it is “the process whereby an individual learns to adjust...

Exactly one year from today a new president will be sworn in. I'm hoping that new president is Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. Today, I am officially endorsing Cruz for our nation's highest office. To me, my endorsement comes down to three things: the man, his character, and his strategy for how he will clear up the mess our nation is in.The Iowa Caucus is in only 12 days, followed eight days later by the New Hampshire primary. Cruz is surging in the polls. If he wins some of the early primaries, he will have a momentum to make it all the way to the...

President Vladimir Putin, former KGB agent of a once-atheist nation, rebukes America, a once-Christian nation by saying that by forsaking traditional Christian values and putting same-sex marriage on the same level as traditional marriage with a man, woman, and children, the nation is forsaking God and believing in Satan and will be led into degradation and chaotic darkness. At the height of the Cold War, it was common for American conservatives to label the officially atheist Soviet Union a “godless nation.” More than two decades on, history has come full circle, as the Kremlin and its allies in the Russian...

The more the general society rejects, spurns, and ignores the biblical pulpit, the greater the preachy culture expands. Starbucks' recent attempt to turn a coffee cup into a communion chalice is an example. The "communion" signified upon the cup was not about humans and God, but about humans "communing" with one another regarding race. The company, a denomination within the religion of Neo-Progressivism, launched its "Race Together" campaign to get us all set right on human relations. The PR didn't work, and so Starbucks had to dismantle the "Race Together" pulpit. However, that won't halt its preachiness. Jim Olson, a...

A conservative student group at The George Washington University faces punishment, including the loss of its funding, for refusing to engage in LGBT sensitivity training on campus. The students are now being condemned and attacked on campus by those who claim they're committing an "act of violence" for standing up for their members' individual rights and Judeo-Christian values. The Young America's Foundation chapter at the Washington, D.C.-based academic institute has refused to participate in LGBT sensitivity training recently made as a requirement. Amanda Robbins, vice president of GW YAF, told The Christian Post that their objection to the training "stems...

HOUSTON, Texas -- Speaking at the Values Voters Summit, put on by the Family Research Council, Texas Senator Ted Cruz gave a passionate speech about religious liberty and faith. Invoking personal stories from his own life, the senator highlighted the power of hope in the darkest of times. "Our values are fundamentally American," Cruz told the audience. "This country remains a country built on...Christian values. And anyone who tells you differently is lying to you."Cruz spoke about his own father, whose life was drastically changed by the power of faith. Cruz's father, Rafael Cruz, was taken captive in Cuba as a teenager. He was wearing a...

"Men and women of the Values Voter Summit, we have a mountain to climb. Those who have gone before in your life climbed their mountain. They stood for freedom in harm's way. They demanded a government as good as our people. Now it's our turn. "The time has come to take our stand. We must not be afraid and we must fight for what has always been the source of American greatness: our faith in God and our freedom. "And if we hold that banner high, I believe with all my heart the good and great people of this land...

The men who stepped forward to answer the call for One Nation Under GOD, in order, were Richard Behney for U.S. Senate (opposing incumbent Evan Bayh), Andy Lyons for Indiana's 5th District congressional seat, Ron Fusselman for the 50th District state representative seat, Marlin Stutzman for U.S. Senate, Don Bates Jr. for U.S. Senate, and Tom Wall for the 17th District state senate seat. Beauty contests have turned ugly. Pageants used to celebrate good, old-fashioned values, but today a young lady cannot be crowned Miss USA unless she supports same-sex marriage. Talk about tripping up on the runway. On Sunday, Miss California Carrie Prejean was rejected for the Miss USA crown because she defended traditional marriage. One of the pageant's five judges, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, bluntly asked Miss California if she supported same-sex marriage. Her response was: "I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that's how I was raised, and...

" Change for the homosexual is difficult, but still possible, researchers of a newly released study say. "The Thomas Project: A Study of Religiously-Mediated Change in Exodus Group Participants" presents evidence that there are people who have successfully changed, or experienced "conversion," from homosexuality to heterosexuality. The study,... " I know that this is old, however I want to get other's opinions on gay conversion. I believe in it. However, I want to see how other conservatives feel about it. My hypothesis is that conservatives will approve of it and that hopefully, will spread the notion of gay conversion.

We are in that season when Jews celebrate one of their few successful rebellions against oppression. Christians celebrate the birth of the Prince of Peace. How ironic, then, that Jewish-Americans are embroiled in a grim struggle against a Christian former president who is tainting our holiday joy. I don't recognize Carter any more. I am afraid of him now, for myself and for my children. He has not just turned his back on the balance and fairness that all peacemaking depends on. He has become a spokesman for the enemies of my people. He has become an apologist for terrorists....

WASHINGTON (AP) - Is the Christian right the Republican Party's real political base or have conservative Christians taken over the GOP, forcing the party to meet their demands? For former Missouri Sen. John Danforth, the answer became clear when the Republican-controlled Congress intervened in the case of Terri Schiavo, the brain-damaged Florida woman who died after her husband won the right to remove her feeding tube. "The effort to keep Terri Schiavo alive artificially became a religious crusade and Republicans in Washington responded to a core constituency, even though it meant abandoning traditional Republican philosophy," Danforth writes in his new...

Mr. Loconte’s remarks are adapted from a debate sponsored by the Oxford Union Society at Oxford, England. He argued against the proposition that “Christian Values Undermine American Values.” He was joined by Richard Lowry, editor of National Review and Eric Metaxas, director of Socrates in the City. Welton Gaddy, president of the Interfaith Alliance, and Herb Silverman, president of the Secular Coalition for America, argued for the proposition. The debate was held on May 26, 2005. "The proposition before this august body, that Christian values do not support American values, would have utterly mystified the greatest generation of political leaders...

A case is set to begin in Birmingham federal court next month for a woman who is suing a Christian school that fired her after administrators learned she was unmarried and pregnant. Tesana Lewis filed suit against Covenant Classical School of Trace Crossings, saying she was unfairly fired. The school contends her unwed pregnancy went against the values and religious principles taught there. Lewis' suit says she was hired at the school on December 6, 2003, where she was to help teach 12- to 20-month- olds. She was fired four days later. Lawyers for the private religious school in Hoover...

Two Washington press corps veterans have conceded that the news media have a bias against religious believers. On CNN's Reliable Sources on Sunday, New Republic Senior Editor Michelle Cottle asserted that journalists "behave as though the people who believe" in widely-held Christian values "are on the fringe." Steve Roberts, who noted how he "worked for the New York Times for 25 years," revealed: "I could probably count on one hand, in the Washington bureau of the New York Times, people who would describe themselves as people of faith." That disconnect hurt the media, Roberts suggested, in how "there was so...
