<p>SAN FRANCISCO -- Moving to strike a chord with "pro-choice" voters, Democratic Gov. Gray Davis accepted the endorsement of two abortion-rights groups Tuesday and derided the anti-abortion views of his Republican foe, Bill Simon.</p>
<p>Leaders of the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (NARAL) and its California affiliate said Davis had strongly protected and strengthened abortion rights during his long political career and, particularly, his three-plus years as governor.</p>
