Curiously, most people did. News stories immediately and unquestioningly stopped referring to Bruce. But no one bothered to ask a very basic question: how does Bruce, or anyone, know what it&#x26;#x2019;s like to be another gender? They don&#x26;#x2019;t ask it because it is impossible to answer, and they don&#x26;#x2019;t want to be seen as insufficiently woke.
