In college I was required to read "The Turner Diaries" as part of a political science course.
I was surprised by the ending at the time, but completely understand it now.
At the end of the book, the triumphant white nationalists run the now "liberated" white USA the way the Khmer Rouge ran Cambodia.
All racial enemies are liquidated, all white "collaborators" and fraternizers with the enemy are punished and reeducated, and many are executed as examples.
The victorious white masses are deurbanized and go to work on collective farms to return to an agrarian utopia.
Basically, these guys want a racially purified white North Korea.

It’s particularly offensive because it quotes Teresa Neumann - the spiritual advisor of Fritz Gerlich, who was martyred by the Nazis for his philoSemitism and open contempt of National Socialism.
I have not seen it. Friends who have say it is obsessive with its period detail visually and verbally. There isn’t any: “No way she’s a witch, OK” dialogue, and it’s all apparently shot in natural light.

Candidates have a fine line to walk.
They need to explain that their religious convictions drive their sense of right and wrong and enter into their political decisions.
At the same time they need to demonstrate that they are apllying for jobs that require impartiality toward all law-abiding citizens.
The fact is that Donald Trump's "base" in the real world is unchurched, non-college educated white men over 50, and his "base" on Twitter is largely anti-Semites.
Both groups have a strong animosity toward "holy rollers."
