shouldn’t these be a federalism issue residing with the states?
No And the reason is simply put. One state would say yes to gay marriage the other would not. And if the gay couple move to an anti gay state their marriage would be disolved. You would think. Instead the gay sue the state over their gay marriage. And because marriages is a right, in general and legal binding. There has to be a uniformity of the law between states over rights. That why we have the bill of right in the consitution. To provide uniformity over our rights, between the states. Marriage is a right. And should not be change by the liberal courts.

I was thinking of Canada. Who have succeed in banning parts of the bible, instead of the Koran. And if you ban parts of the bible you have ban the bible period.

Good Posting The first thing is that as we try to rebuild the conservative base. Obama and the Democrats will move us to the left in 3 ways. 1. Ban the bible has hate speech. 2. Ban speech on radio and TV, by the fairness doctrine. 3. Take away rights to bear arms. To basically neuter the conservative period. Therefore we must work on two fronts.

Three thing define conservative
1. Its in the bible.
2. Its base on common sence., as we see the world
3. Its base on proven traditions that past the test of time
