I would guess that this failure rate would be seen across all math heavy degrees. Covid lockdowns during school terms likely hampered many students understanding of mathematics... and when one doesn’t have a firm understanding of a math principle it’s failures build upon itself. A student can’t learn an upper level class while trying to catch up with a lacking lower level.

Basically students doing remote learning DIDN’T learn and it is plainly seen by failure rates in successive classes.

Sports as entertainment is dying. Younger generations aren’t tuned into it and the audience that is still there is feeling alienated by political posturing and thuggish antics by the players. Last thing the American public wants is to be subjected to international political posturing as well.

To 99% of traditional Americans, soccer is something their children play until they are old enough to play a real sport.

I write checks all the time for both business and personal payments. It is easy and quick. Setting up electronic payments is too time consuming. I don’t want to learn how to do something I can do quicker the old way.

A society that does this isn’t decaying, it is regressing to basic animal instincts, undoing any societal respects primitive man created when he first started burying the dead.

I’ve never like the taste of any alcohol. Wine, beer, liquor... all taste terrible. Even the flavored stuff, I’d rather have the flavor itself; alcohol just ruins everything to me.

What we need is to force elected leaders to live (full time) in the voting district from where they were elected.

No 2nd houses. No living in apartments in DC. I’m talking about basically making elected as a term of confinement.

Right now elected leaders socialize with each other. Politicians have politicians as neighbors; politicians should have their voters as their neighbors. They should shop and socialize among the very people they claim to represent.

If a politician votes for legislation that harms their own voters, those same politicians should live in the hell they created

Concentrated power is dangerous... spreading out politicians helps limit group think. AND it means lobbyist would have to meet in hundreds of different locations instead of one central area.

We have the technology to make voting and debate remote. We don’t need DC anymore.

Football is no longer fun... that is what is killing it.
It is no longer JUST football, it is a hodgepodge of “entertainment” masquerading as a sport.

Look at the superbowl, it is now just as important for commercial watching and halftime entertainment as it is for actual play.

Halftime used to be for going to the bathroom and eating. Maybe there was some sort of entertainment but it was basically ignored as people talked to each other.

Football is no longer simple. Simple to enjoy, simple to orchestrate. There are too many people involved in the production and each wants to focus attention on THEIR part of the spectical.

Football has become run by people who dont like football. Fans have noticed it.

My jeans are good enough for work, church, funerals, and court. They are just as good for flights.

Laws are created by legislatures, not by courts.

Took a family vacation to Colorado and came upon this junk idea. Was going to buy a few souvenirs and they wanted to charge me for a bag.

I was dumbstruck and angry at the same time. I muttered something along the line, “ just because you people are stupid doesn’t mean I have to play along”.

I got back a cold stare with the message, “we have to do our part for the environment and it is the law”

Not my law. I’m not a citizen of your state and I don’t have to do a thing.

Politicians don’t do ANYTHING requiring physical labor unless it is for political posturing. Most are allergic to anything even looking like it would require them to get off their butt.

She knew exactly what she was doing and for what purpose... any explanations are just her trying to muddy the waters, to confuse the margins who don’t see WHY she did it.

And the why is because leftists cannot have a competing ideology when they are in the midst of their political and cultural revolution.

They must always erase the past so they can press forward with the new big lie.

They will place an exit tax that, although living in another State, the fleeing resident will still have to pay for years.

Red States will comply when they really shouldn’t. Those States should say New York law has no jurisdiction here and we will not enforce, garnish wages, nor extradite any one in violation of a foreign jurisdiction law.

Government is run by people behind the scenes. Those people only want a rubber stamp as a leader. They can enact their policies with next to no resistance AND if things go badly point their fingers and place blame on the figurehead.

Unelected bureaucrats run everything.

How could a NPV compact be enforced? Such inter-state agreements the mediating party IS the federal government and that would certainly be forcing the Feds into imposing legislation directly at odds with the Constitution.

So, to me, the NPV would quickly face an issue where the agreement demands action by a State AND any action by that State could be quickly be rescinded by that State itself.

It would be a treaty among States (illegal) and any State could pull itself out at any time.

It would take military action among the agreeing States to enforce since couldn’t (shouldn’t) be involved.

This feels like the Trump Administration wants to keep a closer eye on military command and the best way to deal with that is to have fewer numbers AND to deny them any bit of anonymity they may be using in far flung dark alleys.

The very first question that should be asked of jurors (when dealing with a bureaucratic or politician defendant is... “Are you now, or ever been, employed by a State or Federal government”

Bureaucrats should never be allowed to sit in judgement of other bureaucrats. Government protects itself.
