The family should be given as much time as needed to secure a place and adequate transport for the patient...

All sorts of things need to be considered, including logistics for family visits, location basically, and can the medical support be sustainable and the family not be under the same jeopardy as was in this facility...

Hospitals probably always had this right to have people removed from their facilities, but...

Since we are under a new government healthcare system, the patient is nothing more than a piece of meat with an expiration date...

Ohhh, BTW, since the Truman is 2 months out, it makes sense...

The CIWS systems the TR had may have a software patch that is ready to go, and the Truman may just get in close and have the CIWS loaded up and mounted, plug it in and its ready to go...Over simplistic, but it makes sense to me...

The maintenance on the CIWS may be up to date, current and a known factor, may be a good system that is reliable, and not prone to downtime...

Truman’s CIWS might be a little finiky...So they dump that gear, and head out to go pick up what they have a higher degree of confidence in at this time...

The removal of those CIWS mounts means they are rotating systems for deployable units...They are designed to be unbolted and remounted elsewhere...Its a defensive system, and if there is no real problem with the overall ships condition, if the TR is going home, and another CVN is on the way, eventually, they unbolt it, stow it at some place where t can be remounted “in theater”...Why not???

Meaning spares, and reloads like I said in the other thread is a trend now...Nothing new, its logistics mainly...

It is sad, but we know the reason for this reduction of capability...

the days of saturation attacks by multiple flights of bombers and ALCM’s, SLCM’s and other surface to surface systems is reduced globally, the tech has improved where that may no longer be necessary...

We countered those saturation attack plans with those nice AEGIS cruisers and destroyers back in the day...They did well to be able to handle that mission...Now our shields have new, higher traveling targets...And they are handling that mission...

I believe we can match the threat with weapons system upgrades to our existing stand-off weaponry, but its got to be actively pursued...

Our stors of deployable weapons may be down to a very low level, and with reloads being scare, what do we need to do???

As for the concern about Tomahawk stores being depleted, I cannot imagine why they would, since ordinance procurement, advancement, testing is at an all time low...

I would say the stock we do have is for deployment purposes only, and that when launch platforms come back they make haste to the depots like Seal Beach, Indian Island and the East coast depots as soon as they can to offload so the other rotating ships can go there to take on those weapons...

Calls to congress-critters go ignored, regardless of your affiliations...Even to ask reasonable non-classified questions like are we even building new weapons??? No need to give numbers, or where they are going...

My skeptism is healthy, based upon a lot of study into Soviet/Russian engineering and weapon design philosophy...I know there are folks out there with better data now than I’ll ever have, but the history doesn’t really deviate very much with Russians...Sure they try to look like us in the night launches of their stuff, kinda like what we have been doing for years...

They wanna look cool to the world as well...And that IS a big part of how Putin and his military want to look...

Just my initial take on these events...

This program he has to support his campaign is a great bookend to some efforts to get teenagers into the election process...

Texas passed an amendment to the Election code that allows teens, 16 and older, who have a SS#, and an address in the county where they wish to work as clerks in polling locations, the ability to do something more with their volunteer hours to actually do something substantive in their communities...

Since 2009 when that change was implemented, I have worked to increase the number of kids participating in this program in the last 6 years, and now have 22 kids and 3 returning college kids wanting to continue their participation as adults...

No longer will I tolerate the incessant whining about “we don’t have clerks, much less the mandated support of Vietnamese, or Spanish interpreters because I have tapped into this reassure and the kids are coming to me now...

They are mostly ethnic and are all AP or Honor roll kids...None of them are looking to duck class either...

So combined with this Ted Cruz program, and Texas seeing the need to invigorate our election polling crews with these motivated kids...

Its a win/win situation for everyone...

I do not know of anyone else in the state of Texas putting this many folks into the crews working these polls than what we have going on in S.E. Texas...

As I tell folks I run into, I really don’t plan on doing this political stuff forever...So we need to develop our legacy if conservatism is to survive...

What I’m actually excited about is when we get back to a realistic campaign season, and serious candidates who do know how to get things don, and stop playing this stupid game with a guy who will not last thru much of the primary season next year when real voters vote on real candidates, and not reality TV stars...

From what I saw of last nights interactive kindergarten playground session, only reinforces my idea that when they are ready, the real candidates will start to stand out when the bully basically has his asterix handed to him out there...

You know, if we manage to survive the current nonsense, I still believe some population center is going to cease to exist...sooner or later...

Wonder if any of these enablers will be showing their faces in public after that...
