Obama Did Not Follow His Own Directive.

Obama - I’ve said over the last couple of months since this happened, the minute I found out what was happening, I gave three very clear directives. Number one, make sure that we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to. Number two, we’re going to investigate exactly what happened so that it doesn’t happen again. Number three, find out who did this so we can bring them to justice. And I guarantee you that everyone in the state department, our military, the CIA, you name it, had number one priority making sure that people were safe. Sirchtruth...

What the Obama Administration does not want you to see

There were many security cameras at the Benghazi US Consulate. One camera was positioned to (and did) record Ambassador Stevens, on September 11, saying good night at 8:40pm Libya time to a Turkish Diplomat. The video from this camera – I am told – shows (and proves) there was NO PROTEST outside our Consulate. The Obama Administration had that tape immediately and they knew what it showed and knew it immediately. Anyone who watched the video observed the obvious.

In an effort to comply with state laws about gender discrimination, a Rhode Island school district has banned father-daughter dances and mother-son baseball games after a single mom complained that her daughter wasn't able to attend a dance.

Texas mom sues police after arrest for allowing kids to play outside

Police arrested a Texas mom for allowing her children to play outside last week, after a neighbor reported to police that the kids were riding scooters around a cul de sac. Tammy Cooper, who was arrested for child endangerment, insists she was watching her children from a lawn chair in her front yard. Now, Cooper is suing the La Porte Police Department, the arresting officer and the neighbor who made the call.

Tests only identify Zimmerman's DNA on handgun

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Forensic tests made public Wednesday show that George Zimmerman's was the only DNA that could be identified on the grip of the gun used to fatally shoot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. The results rule out Martin's DNA from being on the gun's grip. Zimmerman's DNA also was identified on the gun's holster, but no determination could be made as to whether Martin's DNA was on the gun's holster, according to the report from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Karen Lewis needs to start putting out the teachers union fire

Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis has created a monster. Soothing that monster won’t be easy. Indeed, Lewis’ rhetoric that Chicago Public Schools can’t be trusted worked too well. Now teachers don’t know a good deal when they see one. Instead of breaking into a victory song when the CPS caved and gave up on many of its accountability demands, the union’s House of Delegates opted to drag the strike out a couple of more days.

Colorado Hiker Who Abandoned Injured Dog Relinquishes Custody

The Colorado climber criticized for abandoning his injured dog on a mountain has agreed to give up custody of the dog to one of its rescuers. Anthony Ortolani, 29, originally said he wanted custody of his dog Missy when she was rescued by a team of hikers after surviving eight days on the mountain. Since then, Ortolani has received intense criticism and even death threats over his decision.

Amid rumors of discord, Romney seeks to shift strategy

LOS ANGELES—Amid rumors of staff infighting and a slide in the polls, Mitt Romney is looking to reset his campaign starting with a speech here Monday before Hispanic voters. He's shaking up his relentless focus on the economy and offering more specifics about a broader range of policies and a clearer argument about why he would be a better president than Barack Obama. Two senior aides privately dismissed reports of discord over the strategy implemented by Stuart Stevens, the Republican presidential nominee's chief strategist—insisting his job is not in danger and that internal staff grumbling cited in a Politico report...

Study: Tax Cuts for the Rich Don't Spur Growth

Cutting taxes for the wealthy does not generate faster economic growth, according to a new report. But those cuts may widen the income gap between the rich and the rest, according to a new report. A study from the Congressional Research Service -- the non-partisan research office for Congress -- shows that "there is little evidence over the past 65 years that tax cuts for the highest earners are associated with savings, investment or productivity growth." In fact, the study found that higher tax rates for the wealthy are statistically associated with higher levels of growth.

Actress: Director of anti-Islamic film deceived us

An actress in the movie about the Prophet Muhammad that sparked outrage across the Middle East on Tuesday and Wednesday said she will sue the filmmaker and that the film's script, titled "Desert Warriors," focused on life 2,000 years ago. Cindy Lee Garcia told Gawker that she called the film's writer and director, who has now gone into hiding, when she saw the protests and his quotes in the media. "'Why did you do this?' and he said, 'I'm tired of radical Islamists killing each other.
The democrats have won. Obama won. The electorate voted for this disaster. After people elected these morons, and Obama they discovered who they really were, and what they wanted to do. NOW the American people are "angry" and don't want what we all tried to tell them these government religious zealots were going to shove down all our throats!
John McCain Speech Not So Conservative

John MCain intoned some things in his speech last night conservatives need to be very weary of. His tone and talk about "not working for any party" was a little shot at republicans and conservatives alike. We all understand McCain is not a conservative, but he is within the party and if he doesn't think conservatives and the republican party work for the people of this county then he needs to be kicked out of this party! Partisanship is a boon to this country. You have to argue vehemently to get your points across and hopefully convince a majority of...

3 from Lesbos sue gay group over 'Lesbian' name

ATHENS, Greece (AP) - Three islanders from Lesbos told a court Tuesday that gay women insult their home's identity by calling themselves lesbians. The plaintiffs - two women and a man - are seeking to ban a Greek gay rights group from using the word "lesbian" in its name. Also known as Mytilini, Lesbos was the home of the ancient poet Sappho, who praised love among women. It is a major travel destination for gay women. The Homosexual and Lesbian Community of Greece "causes confusion by using a geographic term in connection with (the group's) special character and social action,"...

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham faced a long shot primary challenge Tuesday from a fellow Republican who has hammered his ties to Arizona Sen. John McCain. In Virginia, Democrats wrapped up a bitter contest to run for the seat being vacated by retiring Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Davis. And in Maine, Democrats chose between Rep. Tom Allen and political newcomer Tom Ledue in a U.S. Senate primary while both parties settled hard-fought races in the 1st Congressional District in the southern part of the state.
Iran tells Iraq: U.S. troops are 'main obstacle on the way to progress'

BAGHDAD -- Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki concluded a three-day visit to Iran after meeting Monday with Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who warned that the continued presence of U.S. troops was "the main obstacle on the way to progress and prosperity in Iraq." The session with Khamenei, Iran's top religious and political authority, served to further highlight the delicate position of the Iraqi government -- caught between the U.S. and Iran, enemies seeking to pull Iraq out of the other's sphere of influence.

Student, 17, gets 8 years in prison for phone threat

TYLER — A 17-year-old who phoned his rival high school on a school bus and threatened to open fire on students has been sentenced to eight years in state prison. An attorney for Terrance Taylor said Saturday he was surprised by the sentence and had recommended probation for his client, who was a junior at John Tyler High School in Tyler. Taylor pleaded guilty Thursday to making a terroristic threat. Don Davidson, the student's attorney, said state District Judge Jack Skeen Jr. used the phrase "the times we live in" in handing down the sentence.

Presidential election mostly will be about Obama

The presidential election will be about many things. Mostly, it will be about Barack Obama. Millions of Americans are ready for change. But many aren't comfortable with the man who's calling for it, at least not yet. Obama's ability to reach a comfort threshold with large numbers of those voters - backers of the defeated Hillary Rodham Clinton among them - will have a huge impact on whether he defeats Republican John McCain in November. Both candidates know this full well.

Spike Lee jabs back at Clint Eastwood

And the war of words between Spike Lee and Clint Eastwood goes for one more round. After the 78-year-old Hollywood legend lobed a Dirty Harry-esque one-liner at the pint-sized director - telling him to "shut his face" over criticisms that no African-Americans appeared in Eastwood's drama "Flags of Our Fathers" - Lee has offered up a response. "First of all, the man is not my father and we're not on a plantation," Lee told ABCNEWS.com.

Deckchair trapped testicles

A Croatian man got a nasty surprise when he tried to get out of his deck chair and found his testicles had got stuck. Mario Visnjic had gone swimming naked in the sea at the Valalta beach in western Croatia, reports 24sata. His testicles had shrunk while in the cool sea and slipped through the wooden slats when he sat back down on his wooden deckchair. But as he lay in the sun they expanded back to normal size and got stuck between the slats. He was eventually freed after he called beach maintenance services on his mobile phone and...
