Most Walmarts in this area have about 50 lanes and, say, two of them open at any given time. Only option to retain sanity is one of the self-serve lanes. I swear they glue the bags together.

Don’t worry, the media will give Virginia the same rage-baiting coverage they gave Indiana and Texas!

Moreover, if I’m being charged for bags I’d soon have a meltdown while fighting to get those dang things pulled apart. Walmart is the worst, and the bags are so cheap that I have to double/triple bag in many instances to keep them from breaking.

In 2056, I will be 72... and probably looking forward to 80, when my SS will begin.

Executing a warrant and arrest of a former President of the US, on wholly made up crimes, is “upholding the law.”

The media’s normal cover job for this type of occurrence is, “His position has evolved...” But only when it serves the narrative.

It is strangely silent on speed limits. Do we also get a pass on those??

It’s a racket, for sure. When I was younger, I thought, “Why would people waste money and pay others to fill out the forms for them?” Now I know, and pay my wife to do it!

Par for the course nowadays, unfortunately. Our local rags usually fail to report the day or date an event occurred. Makes it very hard to reason outward about other facts when they leave such basic elements out of the story.

My mother worked for a local tax filing company for 6 or 7 years in the early 2000s in NC. During that time she told me fraud was rampant with the child tax credits... multiple adults all claiming the same children, made-up children, etc.

Warms the heart when filing my taxes honestly. /s

Modernize our crumbling infrastructure, you say? Didn’t Obama’s shovel-ready $1T infrastructure bill ~15 years ago already do that? :)

1. The plural “regulators” could apply to the whole, as in in multiple one-person visits. Which is it?
2. Were these “regulators” state employees, or contractors who might have even less incentive to conduct thorough audits?
3. Were the visits announced, or unannounced?
