Take it down to a simple equation. There is one very unstable country in that region that wants nukes. Its been militarily damaged greatly and still lobs whatever it has at neighboring countries. The leadership is still on course to remain unstable ans defiant despite all this. Why on earth would anyone believe they will abide by any treaty agreement they sign?
Eliminate the current keep it the same regimes, nail all (ALL) their buildings and when one you miss pops up, take the shot. Work to find leaders the people trust that arent fanatics and work with them to rebuild and get real elections going to have the people put actual representatives in place for them so trust in govt can come back and life can move more from chaos to calmer. All other social metrics can then start shifting to a better form of normalcy. And we have to back them and let them do it and they may make mistakes but ultimately, its our place and they know if things tilt back to what it was before, we’re coming back.
I know it sounds easy on paper, and I know because of who is involved it wont be, but thats what we have.
Whats this reopen crap? They dont control it. More like stop acting like its yours and stop harassing ships and putting mines in it. They need to agree to any claims its theirs. This sounds like they still act like they own it and are giving their permission to stop this.
Steve Harvey told Jerry Seinfeld when they did his coffee show, that when a tradgedy happens, its horrible, but, as a comedian,...you know, in our heads..., we already have the jokes. We obviously cant say them then, because we would be crucified. But we got em, ..... we got the jokes.
