The Texas Supreme Court dealt a final blow to abortion providers’ federal challenge to the state’s latest abortion restrictions Friday. The court ruled that state medical licensing officials do not have authority to enforce the law, which bans abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy. This was the last, narrowly cracked window that abortion providers had left to challenge the law after the U.S. Supreme Court decimated their case in a December ruling. The law has a unique private-enforcement mechanism that empowers private citizens to sue anyone who, in the law’s language, “aids or abets” an abortion after fetal cardiac...

A federal judge on Friday dismissed a lawsuit filed by three Democratic state attorneys general that had sought to force the federal government to recognize Virginia’s vote last year to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment and add it to the Constitution. Shortly after Virginia became the 38th state to ratify the amendment that supporters say will guarantee women equal rights under the law, the archivist of the United States declared he would take no action to certify the amendment’s adoption, citing an opinion from the Department of Justice under the Trump administration. Constitutional amendments must be ratified by three-quarters of...

The two had a discussion after Cuomo offered positive thoughts about the newlyweds. According to The New York Times, Cuomo allegedly placed his hand on Ruch's lower back, which she removed with her own. He allegedly said she was "aggressive," placed his hands on her cheeks, and loudly asked if he could kiss her. As Cuomo leaned in to kiss her, Ruch pulled away. “I was so...

The House this week will take up a resolution to impeach President Donald Trump for the second time in less than two years over his actions encouraging a mob that stormed the Capitol, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said. “In protecting our Constitution and our Democracy, we will act with urgency, because this President represents an imminent threat to both,” Pelosi said in a letter Sunday to House Democrats. “As the days go by, the horror of the ongoing assault on our democracy perpetrated by this President is intensified and so is the immediate need for action.” Pelosi said Democratic leaders on...

The left has tried to convince Americans for four years that President Trump is evil, unhinged, rude, crude and unfit for the presidency. They have tried to destroy him over and over again, but every time they think they’ve got him, he slips out of their grasp. This year, Democrats have weaponized the pandemic, the lockdowns and the deep economic recession against him. Yet, despite their perpetual pursuit, it remains entirely possible that he may win a second term. The President has a very clear and achievable path to victory.

Though left-wing filmmaker Michael Moore will be pulling the lever for Joe Biden this November, he has not failed to let his discontent be known regarding the former vice president’s election conduct. Over the weekend, after Biden accepted the endorsement of former Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, a Republican, the “Bowling for Columbine” director scolded the presidential candidate for going after “white racist redneck votes.” “The Biden campaign, in an effort to convince Flint voters to stay home on Nov 3 and lose Michigan again, happily announced & embraced the endorsement of former Gov. Rick Snyder — the man who poisoned...

Republican and independent voters are twice as likely to not reveal their true preference for president in a telephone poll, a study found. CloudResearch, an online market research and data collection company, found that 11.7% of Republicans and 10.5% of independents said they wouldn't share their true opinion, while only 5.4% of Democrats said the same. "That raises the possibility that polls understate support for President Donald Trump," Bloomberg reported Friday.

The Marlins and Mets took the field around 7:10, with Dominic Smith and Billy Hamilton leading the way for New York. All of the players took their positions, then removed their caps for 42 seconds of silence. Then both teams walked off the field, leaving only a Black Lives Matter t-shirt covering home plate. This comes one day after three MLB games and all NBA playoff games were postponed as players across sports came together to call for racial justice.
