on 23 August 1305, William Wallace was publicly drawn and quartered in London. His severed head was placed on display at the London Bridge as a statement to anyone considering opposing the Crown (the State). Recall, he too was betrayed by his own people.

I submit that the public persecution of Sarah will continue in an effort to marginalize and demoralize her and demonstrate to any Conservatives considering opposing the Progressive Kleptocracy, that ‘this too will happen to you... and your family.’ Remember Joe! Remember, George Walker. He’ll return quietly to his farm in January a tired and broken Man... Cincinnatus whipped and beaten for his trouble.

I agree we can’t let it happen to Sarah. But, it will happen and indeed it is happening. Its a fabulous effort here to lend her any support that we can. I thank you for the contact information. She’ll be getting a genuine “Thank You” from the Atos family. But, ultimately she will be the one who must persevere through this ordeal. If she comes back to the fight, she’ll be stronger for it... a genuine leader of unquestionable caliber. And if she does not, she still deserves our gratitude and praise for lending a brief halo of virtue and promise to an otherwise dismal campaign effort.

    Thank you, Sarah!!!

Time for us to clean house...

    "Obama’s “Heidi” moment."

Nice! Hubris jumps the shark, dressed like a carrot. And Senator "Government" doesnt even see it coming. And he's even paying for it. You can't by these moments much less have them gifted to you.

Brilliant tag though. This is most certainly Obama's "HEIDI MOMENT." Own it 101 and Spread it like wildfire. One thing BHO cannot handle is ridicule. Three weeks of it could tip him over the edge.

How much does a half hour on three networks cost these days anyway? Is that how Obama spreads Joe’s hard-earned dollars around? .. or is it Soros and those Iranian contributions?

Interesting that Limbaugh mentioned this very tactic on Monday (may have been Friday), noting that deliberate misquotation was a notable Biden debate strategy. It seems as though it has become a favored strategy for the Obama media surrogates as well.

Don’t be surprised to learn that an ass smell like ass. As Rush said, just be prepared for it.

Dayum! This has got to be a media 'set-up.'

Kerry could barely hold his own debating GW. What does he expect to happen to him in a debate against Newt? Unless Kerry and the media have planned a perfect ‘set-up,’ (and that is quite possible) Kerry is poised to be publicly humiliated by Newt, along with the whole Global Warming issue.

He is either THAT arrogant, or is perfectly confident in the ruse.

Lies indeed! We are not talking about the 'religion of Catholicism' in the 13th through the 16th century, but the political machine that maintained feudal monarchies, conspired to slaughter the Templars, sold forgiveness, fostered corruption, and hosted Inquisition... torturing and murdering 'heretics' for deigning to think outside doctrine.

Galileo was ordered to stand trial on suspicion of heresy in 1633 for stating that the Earth orbited the Sun. The philosopher Giodano Bruno, a Dominican friar greatly influenced by Copernicus, was hunted by the Inquisition and perished in Rome at the stake.

What 'lie' exactly did I 'make up?'

"You got it! You got it!"

The chorus to Flowers by the Talking Heads...

Here we stand Like an adam and an eve Waterfalls The garden of eden Two fools in love So beautiful and strong The birds in the trees Are smiling upon them From the age of the dinosaurs Cars have run on gasoline Where, where have they gone? Now, it’s nothing but flowers

There was a factory Now there are mountains and rivers You got it, you got it

We caught a rattlesnake Now we got something for dinner We got it, we got it

There was a shopping mall Now it’s all covered with flowers You’ve got it, you’ve got it

If this is paradise I wish I had a lawnmower You’ve got it, you’ve got it

Years ago I was an angry young man I’d pretend That I was a billboard Standing tall By the side of the road I fell in love With a beautiful highway This used to be real estate Now it’s only fields and trees Where, where is the town Now, it’s nothing but flowers The highways and cars Were sacrificed for agriculture I thought that we’d start over But I guess I was wrong

Once there were parking lots Now it’s a peaceful oasis You got it, you got it

This was a pizza hut Now it’s all covered with daisies You got it, you got it

I miss the honky tonks, Dairy queens, and 7-elevens You got it, you got it

And as things fell apart Nobody paid much attention You got it, you got it

I dream of cherry pies, Candy bars, and chocolate chip cookies You got it, you got it

We used to microwave Now we just eat nuts and berries You got it, you got it

This was a discount store, Now it’s turned into a cornfield You got it, you got it

Don’t leave me stranded here I can’t get used to this lifestyle

Garbage? And yet it took the challenge of brave Men like Luther (another Prometheus of sorts) to bring about both Reformation and Renaissance both in terms of Religion and Science. Given the fire of unregulated faith, Men achieved a level of freedom and prosperity never before known?

Where exactly is the stench of garbage in that?

In the Middle Ages, the Medeival or Dark Ages as it was called, from the 5th Century to the 16th Centuray, the Roman Catholic Church ushered control of vast populations of Men by manipulating the darkness of their ignorance and fear.

Now, in the dawn of the 2nd millenium, the Church of Environmentalism is trying to return Man to darkness, for the very same reason as before... control by fear and ignorance.

In her most famous novel, Ayn Rand propheted, "Prometheus... changed his mind. After centuries of being torn by vultures in payment for having brought to men the fire of the gods, he broke his chains—and he withdrew his fire—until the day when men withdraw their vultures.

In the twighlight of Western Civilization, as Men of the mind are made to withdraw, the vultures can be seen on the dark fringe of the opposite horizon...

    ... swarming!

Good post! You echo my sentiments precisely. The fetching Mrs Atos and myself did a date-night preview before taking the boys. I had not read the book and had heard little about it, so I was slammed as was my wife. In the end, we were quite satisfied with the movie, but I dont think the same can be said for many of the children in the audience. Much sniffling. As it stands, I would encourage my boys to read the book, but the subject matter expressed in a movie is an entirely different kind of experence, imo. There was a time, do lets recall, before Hobbits and Harry's, when a boy's favorite hero was a frontiersman named Hawkeye who wielded an unforgiving Long Carabine in a far more brutal world than Terabithia.
