Just learned from a Korean friend that Ted Turner is visiting North Korea next month to discuss turning the DMZ into a Park. (This is not a joke!). The North Koreans have agreed to meet with the former CNN founder to discuss his ideas on a revamp of the most heavily fortified and land mined area in the world. Im having a very difficult time adjusting to the idea that the DMZ, will become a park of "Peace". .......

Blackfive: Senator Biden and former President Jimmy Carter are calling for the closure of the Guantanamo Bay holding facility in order to combat the negative propaganda around "Gitmo". I conducted an interview with Zell using questions from, Powerliine, Captains Quarters, polipundit etc. This is what he had to say on fillibuster: What is your stance on the Democrats' filibuster of judicial nominees and would you support the “Nuclear Option”? ZM: Absolutely, I'd support the "Nuclear Option." I would have supported it three years ago. In the language of the military, it's a "hill worth dying for," because if you don't stop this filibuster, you're never going to be able to get moderate judges, judges who will interpret the law rather than trying to make it. It seems as though the [insert most vile metaphor you can think of here] that I blogged about here couldn't stand the heat and/or didn't drum up quite the following that he envisioned. According the Marine Corps Times, it appears that this individual faked his own death, supposedly at the hands of pro-military folks. That fits nicely with his MO, but strangely enough, local law enforcement has no report of it. Of course, since the guy also owns the "Forsake The Police" web domain, I'm thinking that any criminal activity involving his demise might not get the attention that a...

Canadian researchers have made a startling assertion: parents take better care of pretty children than they do ugly ones. But late in the article comes this quote from Dr. Frans de Waal, a professor of psychology at Emory University: "The question," he said, "is whether ugly people have fewer offspring than handsome people. I doubt it very much. If the number of offspring are the same for these two categories, there's absolutely no evolutionary reason for parents to invest less in ugly kids."......this is the where evoltionary argument is going.....

Cynthia Tucker takes her best shot in her Atlanta Journal Editorial to paint the California Supreme Court Justice as an activist radical judge. Here are her arguments: and Brown's stand on the public education system: "The public school system is already so beleaguered by bureaucracy; so cowed by the demands of due process; so overwhelmed with faddish curricula that its educational purpose is almost an afterthought." This is just another in a long list of conservative African Americans being tarnished for straying off of the black Democrat's liberal plantation.........

Please has Bambi called the Animal Liberation Front (ALF, and Im not making that up) and asked for a reprieve from the likes of Jon Kerry crawling on his belly in the mud shooting deer in the kneecaps? Earth Liberation Front The ELF is an underground movement with no leadership, membership or official spokesperson. ....well atleast they are organized. Where is Santa in this mess? I finally see it now. Hoss’s post on banning the homerun (below) has finally made everything clear to me. Football is not a game it’s a metaphor for the exploitation of the masses. Lets take the offense and use it as our test. The offense’s job is to score on the opponent (other less prosperous nations). .....

In the future, he said, 39% expected to use the Internet more, compared to 8% who expected to use newspapers more. He also said only 9% describe newspapers as trustworthy, 8% as useful, and 4 % as entertaining. Internet news is still in its infancy. Blogging is an extension of that, it is news/entertainment which is why it is gaining so much momentum. It is this type of presentation that makes the current spate of entertaining news shows on TV so well received. Murdoch: "Scarcely a day goes by that someone does not claim that technology writes newspapers' obituary," .......

Has anyone else noticed the utter infatuation that Andrew Sullivan has had with Pope John Paul II since his death? Why not let them bury the man and then begin your full scale wholesale assault on the damage you feel that he has done? The guy withstood the depression, the nazi's, Marxism, an assasins bullet, he supported the polish solidarity movement that helped to crush communism and he co-operated with Reagan and the CIA in the supply of clandestine materials with priests and bishops, who were immune from body searches, acting as couriers in communist countries.......

Last month it was reported that he had a $70,000 visit to London and Scotland paid for by a native American tribe and gambling interests, and a $106,921 trip to South Korea in 2001 financed by Korean business. The fact of the matter is that Tom DeLay's redistricting efforts helped the Republicans gain five seats in the house of representatives last November and also helped the Texas legislature become Republican for the first time in 100 years. The party is standing behind him for the most obvious reason, and that is that many are responsible for the high level committee...

And that's the way it seemingly goes with every case just like his, of which there are countless. Arresting a hispanic man for driving without a license or insurance in my community is like shooting fish in a barrel. Jaarhead speaks on the subcultures of being in law enforcement. We forced a knee jerk reaction from congress and the president subverting the judicial branch and yes I know the judicial branch of government is a out of control. The biggest question is are we expending all of our energy on this battle and in the process possibly losing the war? Then again, maybe as a wise sage (Hoss) told me, this isnt so much about saving Terry or the unborn but saving a judiciary that has failed us all....

Jerry Springer joins Air America If ever there was a match made in Leftwing liberal hell this is it. Mediaweek Jerry Springer has signed on to become a part of the Air America Radio lineup, the liberal network announced Wednesday. Beginning April 1, Springer on the Radio will air 9 a.m. to noon, replacing Unfiltered, formerly co-hosted by Lizz Winstead, who mysteriously exited the network last month.... His first Air America Season will include "She loves me and him and her and liberals too" (parental discretion is advised) "When PETA attacks" "Bring the violence" "When Feminist Attack" "Women in mullets"...

Much has been written concerning the plight of Marine 2nd Lt. Ilario Pantano. A portrait of patriotism, Pantano exemplifies everything I wish every young man in America could be. In short, he stands accused by the Marine Corps of premeditated murder for shooting two Iraqis during a raid on a suspected insurgent house near Baghdad..... think the Marine Corps may have jumped on the prosecution bandwagon a little too soon on this one, and now find themselves in the unpleasant position of being on the wrong side of the fight (but too committed to back down). The Corps ......

Dean a pea in a pod? Howard Dean Sweeps into Nashville today to raise money. This quote struck me as interesting. The Tennessean The GOP is airing a radio commercial today and tomorrow that describes the Democratic governor as ''peas in a pod'' with Dean, national chairman of the Democratic Party, who is pegged as a ''Northeastern liberal.'' Whoa to the poor governor of The Great State of Tennessee. He and Howard are Peas in a Pod, if your a southern Democrat that is a death nail..... Hiding from Dean is going to be a staple of southern Democrats playbooks...
