PHOENIX - Tempe-based home builder Fulton Homes said the company will run a new commercial titled "Stand" during the Monday Night Football game between the Arizona Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys. In an email, a public relations representative for Fulton Homes, said the ad is "dedicated to patriotism" and is a response to NFL players who sit or kneel during the national anthem. Fulton Homes released a press that said CEO Doug Fulton is a strong believer in patriotism and wanted that to carry through to his company’s television ads for the 2017 NFL season. “This ad is a progression...

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The University of New Mexico’s student paper has started using new pronouns for people who don’t identify as a man or a woman. “I thought that was ridiculous,” said Samantha Peters. “I think the names are kind of funny,” said Paul Talley. “I feel it’s weird,” said Michael Peters. The names “zi” and “zir” have people on UNM’s campus talking. Thursday, the university’s newspaper, The Daily Lobo, explained in an editorial it will now be using the two words as pronouns when writing about people who don’t identify as a male or a female. “The only non...

Two top deputies to Speaker John Boehner defended on his behalf the tactic of forcing members to vote on legislation they haven’t yet read in Monday evening’s more than two-hour-long conference meeting of Republican members, one of the members challenging Boehner for Speaker told Breitbart News exclusively. Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL), a candidate joining Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) to challenge Boehner for Speaker on Tuesday, told Breitbart News that he stood up and offered in conference that Republicans should not vote on legislation without having 72 hours to read it at a minimum. But Yoho was met with fierce opposition...

All companies we boycott have received a 2ACheck rating of “F” for their lack of respect for the rights of gun owners. Your experience with some of these companies will vary based on location, however, the boycott is based on the corporate policy toward responsible gun owners. We believe guns in the hands of good people make everyone safer. We encourage freedom loving Americans to boycott anti-gun companies until they improve their policy. Please share this page. We also strongly recommend everyone know the firearms laws applicable in their own state, and states they travel through. We recommend the Traveler’s...

FReepers: I do not live in WI but this is my husband's younger sister's husband. He is an attorney in WI and defended a 17 year old charged with vehicular manslaughter (or a similar charge, not quite sure). Evidently some of the evidence was manufactured/falsified by people involved. Since then he says the WI Supreme Court and an office that deals with lawyers ethical complaints has pursued him and is essentially looking to fine him just under $100,000 which would devastate their family. He is in his own practice and has 13 children, one of which is less than a...

Saw this billboard today just north of Belen, NM on I-25. Both the front and back of this business's reader board had the same setup. I think this billboard/reader board says exactly when a LOT of people in this country are thinking.

Attended the Ahwatukee, AZ showing of "The Undefeated" at 11:30 this morning and it was awesome! The theater was packed, approximately 90% or more full. In fact when I left, there was a line for the next showing yet NO LINE for Harry Potter! The Mayor of Quartzsite was in attendance and said a few words about what is going on in his town. There was going to be a meeting afterward at Mimi's Cafe, but I couldn't stay for that. Many Tea Party folks in attendance wearing full regalia who also planned to attend the meeting at Mimi's afterward....

All of these dogs were rescued from being shot by the local reservation Animal Control(FWP) in Montana, so they are safe now. I am trying to help Rene and Anita find foster homes or even better yet forever homes for them. There are lots of puppies not pictured yet as they have a small "cough" that Rene wants a vet to take a look at first. Once she gets an OK from the vet, they will either be transferred to another rescue or to permanent homes if possible. The ones that say pregnant females on them have places to go...

Sorry to post a vanity, but I am looking for some technical help having to do with photos. A good friend lost her only photos of her son and managed to pull a few off of Classmates.com, but sadly, they are that tiny thumbnail size. (Her ex has custody of the boy, she the girl & he hasn't allowed him to visit in 2 years so the photos mean a lot to her) I've tried basic stuff to enlarge the photos for her, but of course the larger they get, the blurrier they get. She knows less than I do...

It is unconscionable for New Mexico politicians and appointed officials to use sick kids and rural residents to justify keeping up their jet-setting ways. But that’s exactly what they are doing.

I hope it was okay for me to start a new FReepathon thread. I thought the other was getting way too long for people to wade through. (I've never posted a FReepathon thread so please, if I stepped on any toes or did it wrong, forgive me this time?) ATTENTION - ATTENTION - ATTENTION leapfrog0202 has issued a challenge: 1.The next 15 people that FReepmail me letting me know you used to contribute or just can’t now due to being out of work in this lousy economy, personal issues etc. and want to contribute, I’ll adopt to the tune of...

I know that there are many Rush Limbaugh fans on this site so I thought I'd share information on the new book out about him. It's by Zev Chafets and is titled "Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One". I had trouble finding it anywhere in town, which surprised me because I figured with Rush's name in the title it was sure to be a big hit. No one had it and I eventually ordered the Kindle edition from Amazon rather than the hard cover. It was an excellent read and surprisingly, a very unbiased look at Rush's life and his...
