I went to the red carpet premiere of "Gosnell" tonight, at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills -- within shrieking distance of many bastions of showbiz liberalism: talent agencies, law firms, movie studios. But the film itself was made without the support of the entertainment-industrial complex. In fact, it was financed largely by small donors on social media. It tells the tale, in deadpan policier fashion, of the investigation and trial of Kermit Gosnell, an abortionist who initially attracted the attention of law enforcement not because he was killing born-alive infants, but rather because his unlicensed staff members were purchasing...

Larry the Cable Guy's "Witless Protection" is coming out on Academy Awards weekend, but producer J.P. Williams knows the silly crime comedy is a far better bet next year to snag a Golden Raspberry award for dubious achievement than Oscar gold. "We shoot for the Razzies," said Williams, who has built a lucrative empire around Larry, the country fried alter ego of Dan Whitney, and his feller "blue-collar" comedians.
