I disagree. Trump has not made a case to take over a country who are not even asked to be taken over. Denmark lost more soldiers per capita in the War on Terror than any other NATO country. They have been great allies to the US. Trump says we need it for defense, but we have plenty of access to military bases in Greenland. Denmark would easily give more permission to build it up even more.

Where are you getting 60% of polls favor joining the US? It’s more like 6%.

Where did you see that he let his Green Card expire? It didn’t say that in the article, and I haven’t seen it anywhere else. Is there another place where it says that?

Not sure what your post is even suppose to mean. I’ve been a member of FR since 2002. I’ve been reading it since 1998. Am I suppose to be making hundreds of posts per year or something? What a weird thing to say.

Paperwork miscommunication can easily happen. For example, in Danish, you don’t say “I will be staying at......”, you say, “I will be living at.....”, even though you are staying for just a couple of weeks somewhere. That does not translate well, and I know many Danes who use “living” to mean “staying”. That is not what happened here, but it’s an example of how things can get murky when filling out a form. Or misinterpreting what someone is saying.

I don’t know why he is being detained except for the miscommunication in 2015. Immigration authorities had never alerted him to something being wrong until he was arrested. This guy is a Christian and MAGA supporter. His wife is getting all kinds of hate online because they are saying its Karma. She had to take her social media down because it was getting so bad. ICE can screw up, and I think they did in this case.

He is here LEGALLY. There are several articles about this online and they say he is here on a Green Card. His wife and kids are all US Citizens.

This guy was actually trying to do everything right, trying to be naturalized and they grabbed him at the naturalization center.

I think this may be a case where ICE has messed up. It appears like this is the “family man” that the press tried to make Abrego Garcia to be...only this guy really is.

The Guardian is reporting that this study was done with shoddy research. No peer review, among other things. I know The Guardian is very left wing, but I do want to know if the study is credible.

Your response make more sense than most people’s on here. I belong to a Danish group, as I have ties with the country. They are all up in arms about Trump’s statement, but I wonder if they realize the threat China and Russia has on Greenland.

Yes, it happened twice and both times in the middle of the night. My phone was plugged in across the room, so I know I did not accidentally call. We were staying in a 200 year old Air B&B at the time, and though I never really thought about it until that moment, I did have that “ghost” thought.
