I’ve been here since 1998. Jim gave us a voice in the earliest days of “Web 2.0”. I’m so grateful that he was inspired to create FreeRepublic and had the courage to keep it going when there was a ton of pressure to shut it down. God saw what you made Jim; and indeed it was very good.

You're thinking of individual home generators. The reference here are powerplants that supply electricity to the grid that aren't owned by the government. When the grid breaks down, the powerplant can't send the electricity its generating anywhere. Thus, they have to shut down the powerplant.

There are at least 3 that are left out:

- The Boston Marathon bomber brothers

- The Marine marathon at Seaside Heights, NJ and NYC Trash can bomber.

- The Mohammed cartoon drawing event in Texas where the FBI tailed the guy to the building but local Texans stopped him before it became tragic

All of whom were Muslim

Ha Ha! Governor Murphy thought he could point to his "success" with wind power in New Jersey when he makes his run for President. Now he's all mad. He belongs in prison after sending people with Covid into unprepared nursing homes but no, the stupid people of New Jersey reelected him. Sigh.

This is very good news for the whales and dolphins in New Jersey waters. The sonar and construction noise to install these wind turbines has been causing the sea life to beach themselves in excessive numbers this past summer.
