Duck Soup Marx Brothers Movie | 1933 | Kalmar and Ruby
I have long been a fan of the Marx Brothers and have found Duck Soup a particular favorite. I enjoy it for the humor but it is viewed by many as biting political satire. Tonight in watching for the first time since Obama took office I found Barack H. Obama's philosophy in Rufus T. Firefly's first song. These are the laws of my administration No one's allowed to smoke (he's holding a cigar) Or tell a dirty joke (fakes whispering to a lady) And whistling is forbidden... (he whistles) If chewing gum is chewed (he pretends to chew gum) The...
  • US Census Bureau Saves $1.6 Billion (You know that's not true)

kattracks posted an article about the gag order for celebs. I say we take the month of April and refuse to: attend movies, buy CDs, buy or rent DVDs, watch network television (or CNN or MSNBC) and send these celebrities a message.I know Freepers across the country could get "Entertainment is History Month" going across the country.

A little difference is the difference. That's enough to be the difference."

  • Should Jesse Jackson be held liable for damages?

    Self | 12/13/00 | Self
Given the Reverend Jackson's very public calls for protests against the Supreme Court's decision, if things get out of hand who should be responsible for resulting injuries, property damage, and potential fatalities? Since Jesse has placed himself in the position of being the ring-leader of civil unrest could he be sued for damages? Freeper lawyers, what would be the basis for suits and how many different states might have statutes that could lead to liability for property damage and personal injury?
