So how much did he raise and spend? How much genius does it take to run a campaign in which you can spend an unlimited amount against a canidate who was limited to $90 mil or so? I only ask this because our media seems unwilling to do so.

I'm rather skeptical as to whether or not the composition of focus groups is truly reflective of the electorate, or of "undecided" voters. CNN and Fox News both had such groups featured tonight. How are these groups put together? Do the participants get paid? I would imagine that they do. Is that truly reflective of the electorate? The thought has occurred to me, as I'm sure it has to many of you, that the critics of our politics, our lifestyles (as imagined by them), and our values tend to be miserable creatures. It never fails that conservative Republicans are parodied as white suburban idiots, the two kid, two car, evangelical churchgoing families who are closet racists, prudes, and simpletons. I just wanted to congratulate the junior Senator from Illinois for what might just be the most idiotic (planned) gaffe of this election. Yet another day, yet another "rally" spent attacking the GOP Vice-Presidential candidate. What a way to prove your fitness to serve as Commander-in-Chief by delivering personal attacks instead of telling the nation what it is you truly believe. I salute you, Barry, on perhaps the most inept general election presidential campaign since McGovern-Eaglet...er, that other guy.

Sorry for this vanity, but I think it's important to point out that Gov. Palin has survived her first full and direct sleazeball assault from the Left and a fully engaged media. The daughter story, if anything, will make her a more sympathetic figure to many. The trooper story is much ado about nothing.
