At our normal weekly counter-protest against the Toxic Left extremists on the corner of College Rd & Oleander Dr. in Wilmington, NC, the Toxic Leftists announced their intentions to protest on Memorial Day. Despicable enough in itself, they are expecting no counter-protest on top of it. We have decided to show up anyway. Our signage is in the vein of Protest Warrior. our numbers our few (1-3), but our guerrila tactics work like a charm. Please, if it is at all possible show up tomorrow anytime from 10AM-1PM. 20+ signs are available if you don't have any. Join us to...

I think this was probably the most respectful of all the rallies i saw and i think it's because we have a small town southern culture. Anyway, the story will be posted tonight after 11:30PM-EST. on the website above, in video. all of the photographry is mine, but i just wanted to put this one out there. is this considered vanity even though it WILL be news...

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq (news - web sites)'s interim leader called on his countrymen to set aside their differences Monday, while polling stations finished the first-phase count of millions of ballots from the weekend election that many Iraqis hope will usher in democracy and hasten the departure of 150,000 American troops. From the counts by individual stations, local centers will prepare tally sheets and send them to Baghdad, where vote totals will be compiled, election Commission official Adel al-Lami said. Final results could take up to 10 days. With turnout in the vote still unknown, concern was focused on participation...

UNITED NATIONS - Secretary-General Kofi Annan (news - web sites) opened the first U.N. seminar on confronting Islamophobia with a plea not to judge Muslims by the acts of extremists who target and kill civilians. The daylong forum on Tuesday came six months after a U.N. seminar devoted to confronting anti-Semitism, also a first for the world body. Both were part a series entitled "Unlearning Intolerance," sponsored by the U.N. Department of Public Information. "The few give a bad name to the many, and this is unfair," he told Islamic scholars, writers and religious leaders as well as representatives of...

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Oil is still king on Wall Street -- and if you don't believe it, just take a look at this year's stock market charts. Stocks have been climbing sharply since the end of October when oil began its 20 percent decline from $55 to below $43. The major stock averages have climbed sharply during that time frame. The Dow industrial average hit a year's low of 9,708 on Oct. 25 and is up 10 percent since then. The Standard & Poor's 500 hit its highest level in three years this week. Some analysts have long suspected...

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A hacker put an obscene message, possibly for this city's mayor, on an electronic traffic message board, shocking morning commuters. Mayor Lois Frankel recently had put up large electronic signs that flash humorous messages meant to make light of ongoing construction delays, such as "I Am Mad Too! - Lois." A hacker typed in the three-word message that Frankel thinks was aimed at her for Tuesday morning commuters to see. Whoever left the message then locked the metal box housing the sign's keyboard, so that road workers were unable to change the words and had...

The American electorate has, in the popular vote, given President George W. Bush a very convincing mandate to serve at the White House for another term and his triumph in the Electoral College will be confirmed when all of the votes are counted. -SNIP- Those on the left and in the liberal chattering classes in Britain who insultingly deride the way American people voted in this most democratic election chose to ignore the pain and the suffering inflicted by the 9/11 attacks, and the enormous economic and military commitment provided by the United States to underpin global peace and stability.
