The author is a hack who will kneecap Perry at every chance, all in the name of Jesus, of course.

Guy on Fox said a few liberal democrats voted no as well. I’ve yet to see a roll call.

Another way to save money is not parking at make-shift home parking lots. A few years ago a little racket was going on where homeowners would charge x amount to allow parking, then call a towing company to remove the cars, thus freeing up more parking. In a nutshell, the fairgrounds are in a horrible part of town, but you are guaranteed to be solicited to buy an Obama Tshirt before you enter the grounds.

  • Who is Funding the Dewhurst and Cruz Campaigns?

Cruz has a huge problem, and it's the very conservative East Texas counties. Dewhurst pulled over 50% in several of those counties, and came close in the rest. That's not good news for Cruz. I was quite surprised by this in the May primary, as I figured he would carry those counties. There's no way Cruz wins without carrying this area.

One problem, I would suggest, stems from a "tea party" PAC anchored in Tyler, TX. It is not doing Cruz any favors in this election, and in my opinion, is hurting him with shoo-in votes. Even very conservative voters don't appreciate certain people spewing venom, then quoting Scripture at the end. Cruz isn't doing this, but this group is, especially with local races, and it's carrying over into the Senate race and alienating voters.

Once the results came in, I started making calls to see what was going on over there. I've heard from many voters who said they voted for Dewhurst because of Ted's association with this group. His campaign is well aware of this issue, but they don't seem to have a problem with it. That's his choice, but it's going to hurt him.

I've talked to people who voted for Ted, and will vote for Ted again. I've talked to people who voted for Dewhurst, and will vote for Dewhurst again. I've talked to people who voted for Ted, but will now vote for Dewhurst. I have not talked to a single person who voted for Dewhurst in May, but will now vote for Ted. Not to say that it doesn't happen, but it's just what I've come across.

The best way I can describe what's going on with this group is how Michelle Bachman ran her primary race. I share her goal of smaller government and adherence to the Constitution. However, her delivery was horrible, and she came across as a bitchy woman. She also had no problem knee-capping every conservative in the race, yet wouldn't lay a finger on Mitt Romney. The impression she gave was that it was all about her, and not really about the movement. That didn't go unnoticed. The same goes for the person running this PAC in Tyler. It's all about her and not about the movement.

Just my 2 cents worth. And it may not even be worth that. :)

  • Are Mark Davis and WBAP parting ways?

I hope Davis and WBAP come to an agreement. I like listening to him for DFW/Texas issues, along with national politics. The callers who tend to not like him are the Ron Paul supporters. Even the left wingers who call in to his show respect him, even though they don't agree with him.

Cumulus has stated this week that they want less talk radio. They canned Laura Ingraham this week as well. I suspect they will try and take off Levin before too long.

    Was he USING....or SELLING?

Probably both, but his Facebook account suggests that he was at least selling. But I could have misunderstood his homie wondering why Martin wasn't answering, and that he needed "some plant."

Rest assured toxicology reports will answer this question.

I called and canceled my Carbonite account today. I told the rep I got their service b/c of Rush, and was canceling the account b/c they yanked advertising on Rush. I added that the reason they gave was b/c Rush called the slut a slut, but that they didn't have a problem with Schultz calling Ingraham a slut, just for being a republican. I also mentioned that they didn't have much of a problem advertising with Howard Stern, who champions the women's movement with the Anal Ring Toss game, the Porn Star Awards, and Miss Tiger Woods Mistress Beauty Pageant. I heard crickets on the other end until I was told that the guy understood.. yadda yadda.. He doesn't make the decisions, but I was going to tell somebody. I was nice about it, and I wasn't rude.

I'll be paying attention to their stock over the next few days, as Rush was probably their biggest advertising outlet.

I've though about this many a time, although not recently. To me, whether is was 6 24 hour days or 6 million years, the key factor for me is what gets me into Heaven. That answer for me is my acceptance of Jesus as my savior.

As for the science of the earth, some scientists or students will laugh at the idea of the world being created and coming from nothing, but will turn around and state that the world and universe came from nothing.

These are the little things that people use to try and prove that God doesn't exist, but they fail to realize that my faith isn't centered around the length of time it took for earth to be formed. Just my 2 cents worth. Thanks for allowing me to quit working for a few minutes. :)

Sorry for the delay in responding. I don't recall where I saw the piece about Friedman resigning. When I was searching this story, I came across it. It was from an email. That email could have clearly been faked, as Friedman has mentioned in his message you posted.

Ok, I did a quick search and came across several sites that posted the resignation piece. Forgive me for not hyperlinking it, but I'm tied up at work.

    http://techfleece.com/2012/02/27/stratfor-ceo-george-friedman-announces-his-resignation-due-to-wikileaks-emails/

    There is one site.

I'm glad that it's not the case, and I should have prefaced my comment more rather than citing it as truth. For that I apologize.

Were you there when they first implemented the paywall?

I can't remember what all was free at the time I was there. That was, what, 1999ish, I believe? I do know that the Kosovo stuff I was doing sit-reps on was free at the time, much like some of their current content. I know that they had paying clients at that point, but it may have been for much more detailed analysis.

I had my job to do, so I didn't have much time to know about the other aspects of the company. I do know that they had contacts out the wazoo who they were constantly in contact with. The "news" aspect of it was what I was involved with and not the analysis and forecasting.

His clients are HUGE. I have been following Stratfor for years.

Oh yeah, it's pretty amazing down there. I did an internship there in college when the Kosovo war was going on. I was blown away at Friedman's mind, and at the amount/quality of information that was rolling into that office regarding what was going on in Serbia/Kosovo. I think that's the event that put them on the map.

I agree, and I should have put that on my response to you. I meant to stress the issue of this being a private company and not a government agency. However, STRATFOR has its fair share of former government officials who have been known to spook around the world in a former life. Hopefully at some point the people responsible for this will be found.

I think you’re giving Anonymous and Wikileaks too much importance.

Whoever was responsible for this attack on STRATFOR did some serious damage, both physically and to its reputation.

Based on the damage done to the servers, I suspect this was not just some attempt to embarrass the company, but to shut it down.
