Why we must protect the family, private property and America from the dangers of socialism. 1. Socialism and communism are the same ideology Communism is but an extreme form of socialism. From the ideological standpoint, there is no substantial difference between the two. In fact, the communist Soviet Union called itself the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (1922-1991) and communist China,Cuba and Vietnam define themselves as socialist nations. 2. Socialism violates personal freedom Socialism seeks to eliminate "injustice" by transferring rights and responsibilities from individuals and families to the State. In the process, socialism actually creates injustice. It destroys true...

I have never seen to many Freepers speak of the Constitution Party. My son voted a candidate from that party this past election. Then reading the Church Newspaper our Priest wrote voting for a pro life candidate vote constitution party if the other candidate are pro abortion. I have been leaning leaving the GOP for a few years now but I am not Libertarian so now it has me thinking why not the Constitution Party. So I come to you fellow Freepers to listen to all your opinions on this party. And I also wondered why Alan Keyes didn't go...

On March 7th, 1965, 600 of us lined up to walk from Selma to Montgomery, to march for voting rights. When we tried to cross the Edmund Pettus Bridge over the Alabama River, we were met by state troopers. They attacked us with tear gas, bullwhips, and nightsticks. It became known as Bloody Sunday, and the national outcry over the brutality that day led to the enactment, exactly 45 years ago today, of the Voting Rights Act. The progress we've made since then is remarkable. But the expansion of voting rights for millions did not happen overnight. It was the...

Curious. We have had 4 ladies (in our small careprovider service) of various ages in our remote PNWw area announce they are getting married. One of our most effeciant fellow work persons is not going to "I do" but be in the "wedding party" (so that would make 5 weddings) All these folks have kindly invited our Family.. They all work really close with us. So I thought. Coincidence? Which led me to think "I will do a FR vanity" We really do live in a remote part of the USA. So can anyone chime in if they have perhaps...

ZE10050604 - 2010-05-06 Fact vs. Fantasy; a Tale of 2 Films Higher Purpose of the Pantheon By Elizabeth Lev ROME, MAY 6, 2010 (Zenit.org).- Last week, Romans were treated to two new cinematic offerings. Both films had several points in common: They proposed a hagiography of sorts, faced challenges in distribution, and claim to enlighten viewers regarding a specific historical period. But while the documentary "A Servant of All" charitably studied the life of Archbishop Fulton Sheen and his role in the rising age of television, "Agora," a Spanish film written and directed by self-proclaimed atheist Alejandro Amenábar, frequently brandished...

So I was buying one a month as an on the road cold rainy day treat. Dutch Bros. Well I have had 3 this week now. I went for the first time ever over to the EWTN forums thinking I might try something more in line with what I enjoy on the televised EWTN I got a message the my IP had been banned as soon as I arrived. Before I awoke this morning I had a dream. I dreamed of an idea and posting it to Free Republic. It seemed like a great idea during the dream. Here goes: Obama cannot find an Ambassador to the Vatican that the Vatican will accept. Obama wants to reach out or so he says to Conservatives..... I guess you all have guessed where this is going by now. Alan Keyes for Amabassador to the Vatican. In my dream some of you said Alan would never take such a position let alone under Obamas Presidency. I asked that Alan examine himself in...
