Secretary of State: Has to be staunch in support of Israel, Sarah Huckabee Sanders would be a smart, strong option, but she seems content as Governor of Arkansas. In reading some articles Marco Rubio is thought to be a good fit, but I’ve never felt comfortable about him. Maybe Dan Crenshaw? A former highly decorated Navy SEAL...a young gun in the GOP who brings an understanding of war to the office that desperately needs a war fighters understanding.

Evidence is photographed, collected physical evidence like the shell casings, the rifle, and get blood samples present.
Take measurements of the scene for crime scene drawings..they may have used drones and other technologies to get some of this done in pretty short order.

The point is the scene on the roof would have been documented and evidence collected pretty quickly, the body removed by the coroner once this was done. At the most a few hours work. Once the body is removed and all the other work was done there is no point in just leaving the blood and whatever other body fluids to just sit there. Rinsing it all off is not out of line or inappropriate.

It’ll be interesting to see what his defense attorney tries to do if there is a tria. I’d be shocked if the State’s Attorney would work a plea deal on such a high profile case.

Ample opportunities to deescalate, no reason at all for deadly force. There seems to be a reason to have an emergency mental health responder come to talk to the victim , as she does seem to be in some state of crisis caused either by what happened prior to the deputies arrival, by the deputies themselves, or some combination of the two.

I probably would not have left her without getting some help to evaluate her mental health condition or at least reach out to family for information and help.

This deputy not only killed a citizen without justification, he put his partner in a horrible situation, brought his department terrible shame, and tarnished the badge of every officer sworn law enforcement officer serving in the United States. Bad laws almost always follow horrible events like this. Politicians love to express themselves with knee-jerk legislation that they never think through fully...such as the SAF-T Act.

As for Grayson, he’s innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Even public statements to the press can bu used be prosecutors in a criminal trial.

He has a constitutional right to not speak. He's exercising that. His son is dead, with public pictures circulating showing his son dead with blood splattered on his head. His son attempted to murder a presidential candidate and did murder a highly respected family man and wounded other people. He is seriously exposed to potential criminal and civil liability as his rifle was used in his son's criminal acts. Trying to negotiate the grief of a dead son, the shame of what his son did, and the tension from public pressure and big time liability threats....not speaking makes absolute sense.

If they were subpoena’d and refused to comply with the subpoena they have, in effect, committed official misconduct. Impeach them.

Trump was POTUS. The VP may have been the administration point man, but ultimately the responsibility falls on the occupant of the Oval Office. Trump is not a perfect, sinless man. Where Dr. Disease is concerned, Trump let him guide policy far too long. It’s a common mistake made by elected officials and corporate executive managers to trust the “experts.” Hopefully he learned the lesson and won’t get mislead again.
