Leno Prompts Brokaw to Reminisce About Reagan-Bashing

Jay Leno on Friday night reminisced about admiring Tom Brokaw for appearing on the cover of the far-left Mother Jones magazine back in 1983, an interview in which Brokaw denigrated then-President Reagan from the left for "pretty simplistic" values and over how he didn't understand "the enormous difficulty a lot of people have in just getting through life, because he's lived in this fantasy land for so long." With Brokaw on to promote his book, 'Boom!: Voices of the Sixties Personal Reflections on the '60s and Today,' Leno recalled: "I was just starting out in comedy and you'd been on...

A Traitor is about to be honored

She really was a traitor A TRAITOR IS ABOUT TO BE HONORED KEEP THIS MOVING ACROSS AMERICA This is for all the kids born in the 70's who do not remember, and didn't have to bear the burden that our fathers, mothers and older brothers and sisters had to bear. Jane Fonda is being honored as one of the "100 Women of the Century" BY BARBRA WALTERS Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still countless others have never known how Ms. Fonda betrayed not only the idea of our country, but specific men who served and sacrificed during Vietnam. The first...

Without a Prayer

Paul Harvey and Prayer Paul Harvey says: I don't believe in Santa Claus, but I'm not going to sue somebody for singing a Ho-Ho-Ho song in December. I don't agree with Darwin, but I didn't go out and hire a lawyer when my high school teacher taught his theory of evolution. Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered because someone says a 30-second prayer before a football game. So what's the big deal? It's not like somebody is up there reading the entire book of Acts. They're just talking to a God they believe in and...

ALLAH or JESUS

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States, especially in the minority races!!! Allah or Jesus? by Rick Mathes Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their belief systems I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was...

Some Texans Boycott Girl Scout Cookies

CRAWFORD, Texas (March 3) - Some families are boycotting Thin Mints and Do-Si-Dos and other Girl Scout cookies. Troop 7527 is down to just two members after the other girls were withdrawn by their parents. And Brownie Troop 7087 is no more. A Christian radio station in Waco aired ads for two weeks urging folks to boycott Girl Scout cookies. (Rod Aydelotte, Waco Tribune Herald/AP) Why are folks in this conservative Texas town where President Bush has his ranch so mad at the Girl Scout organization? Planned Parenthood and sex education. The furor was started a few weeks ago by...

Left Resorts to Absurdities to Oppose War

Left Resorts to Absurdities to Oppose War New Castle News 2-05-04 A recent letter discussed veterans’ concerns over the war in Iraq. It’s true that many veterans are leery of war, being first-hand witnesses to its horrors. But the claim that “most vets” believe there was no good reason to go to war seems suspect. The first two points made by vets, freeing Iraq and fighting terrorism, are supportive of the war. The dead giveaway pointing to partisans from the left are the comments about getting “oil,” “revenge” for Bush Sr. and the government not knowing what the goals are....
