    The sabbath is Saturday.

    Yes, I believe it is!

Christ kept the Sabbath and He is our example.

Your interpretation makes no sense. Why would Paul have thrown a command to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread into his discussion of the measures to take against the fornicator?

Our sins are forgiven by Christ's sacrifice. That is represented by Passover.

God's Holy Days represent God's plan of salvation for mankind.

God does not want us to continue in sin after our sins are forgiven.

Rom. 6:15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!

God's 2nd step in His plan of salvation is represented by the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Unleavened bread is flat, not puffed up. It is a humble bread that pictures sinlessness.

The Feast of Unleavened Bread represents our putting sins out of our life so that we may have a closer walk with God.

That is why Paul talked about the Feast of Unleavened Bread in relationship with taking measures against the fornicator.

A lethal injection as some prisoners have had would perhaps be more humane than starvation.

What is next for the other people in similar positions? Do they have to die, too.

Some people who starved to death in concentration camps in the past may differ (if they were alive) in the opinion of starvation being a "peaceful" death.

In reading the Bible, I came across some striking scriptures in Zech. 14.

16And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 17And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain. 18If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 19This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

These scriptures say to me that there is coming a time when all of mankind will be keeping the Feast of Tabernacles. If they don't, they will get no rain. With no rain, I imagine they would start keeping the Feast of Tabernacles quickly, so they would get rain again.

I like the scriptures in I Cor. 5: 6 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. 8Therefore LET US KEEP THE FEAST, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

God's word in the Bible is good enough for me. His word says keep the feast of unleavened bread - that's what I am going to do.

And this is in the NEW TESTAMENT.

The Seven is for the day God rested after making His Creation.

I liked this part - I do believe that the 7th day is the Sabbath - the day our God rested on after creating mankind.

Thank you for posting this wonderful article!! Thank you for reminding us to be thankful and always remember our soldiers in our prayers.

There are certain things that grow that would just not be too good for us. Poison ivy and certain mushrooms like night shades are not good to eat. God did not intend for us to eat of certain things, He expects us to use our common sense that He gave us. Certain animals are scavengers, they would not be healthy for us to eat. God used certain birds, animals and creeping things as His version of disposals. They eat garbage and turn it into useful "fertilizer". Pigs, dogs, buzzards and crows and bottom feeding fish are examples of garbage disposals. You eat food, but you would not want to eat your garbage disposal. God does the same things in nature.

Here is a link to a good article on the subject.

I think He might have been writing people's names and their sins they had done. That woman was not the only sinner around.

To me, God revealed to Peter by means of a vision that no MAN was unclean. The vision of unclean animals was like a teaching tool for Peter to understand to not call any man unclean - which I base on the following verse.

Acts 10:28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

    Peter’s Vision in Acts 10

Peter is commanded to discontinue referring to Gentiles as "unclean." Read the entire passage, taking careful note of the emphasized portions : "On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

"And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

"And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

"Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

"And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

"But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

"And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

"This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

"Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,

"And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.

"While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.

"Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.

"Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?

"And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

"Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.

"And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.

"And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.

"But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.

"And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.

"And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

"Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?

"And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

"And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

"Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.

"Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.

"Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: [note this carefully: Peter did NOT say he had learned that pork and seafood was clean, but that no MAN was "unclean;" that God was not a respecter of PERSONS].

"But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Uh, the Good Lord put pork, ham and bacon on the earth an they are full of artery clogging fats.

God doesn't want us to eat pig products. Pigs have the cloven foot but don't chew the cud.

Lev. 11:2... "These are the animals which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth: 3Among the animals, whatever divides the hoof, having cloven hooves and chewing the cud--that you may eat. 4Nevertheless these you shall not eat among those that chew the cud or those that have cloven hooves: the camel, because it chews the cud but does not have cloven hooves, is unclean to you; 5the rock hyrax, because it chews the cud but does not have cloven hooves, is unclean to you; 6the hare, because it chews the cud but does not have cloven hooves, is unclean to you; 7and the swine, though it divides the hoof, having cloven hooves, yet does not chew the cud, is unclean to you. 8Their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch. They are unclean to you.
