Seriously, a good press secretary is a policy wonk, knowing all of the ins and outs behind a issue, and able to articulate those to the press, to drive the narrative. Can’t be a Baghdad Bob like Robert Gibbs, and the current guy is a soggy cornflake, can’t express anything of value.
Pierre Salinger, JFK’s Press Secretary, was probably the best.
Megyn doesn’t seem to fit the role.
That’s my two cents worth, and it’s worth every penny!
The only problem with a third party or write-in effort is that the states control who gets on the ballot, and what votes will be counted. The window varies by state, but they close in late summer for the most part. And if the candidates don’t meet the requirements, write-in votes will not be counted. Yep, that’s rigged too.
Glad to say I'm a supporter of the Gary Sinise Foundation. He does great things, many on a personal level for vets and families of the fallen. Most of them unpublicized. Link to the Foundation.
With the strength and number of Trump voters, and their (and my) dedication to him, the GOP is in a “damned if they do - damned if they don’t” situation. If the GOP denies Trump the nomination, they face a massive election defeat across the board.
If Trump gets the nomination and wins, the GOP loses control of much of the party apparatus to Trump and his supporters.
As far as I’m concerned with the GOP, it’s a win-win situation.
Cruz campaign called me in CA. I just gave them hell.
That would be fun. I've pretty much removed myself from all email and phone calls, every once in a while one gets through. My email replies are quite, um, colorful!
