This page was forwarded from a friend. It seems pretty balanced non-partisan even though conservative issues are not well represented. I like the idea of people uniting across right/left sides to work on common issues that concern us.

Before the election I talked with several liberal friends and they were afraid of conservatives trying to eliminate freedoms that were a part of their daily lives. Liberal people spreading fear. We had similar fears generated on the conservative side. The fear of gun control has sent the price of guns and ammo through the roof.

Both sides are given unreasonable fears so we will fight against the "evil" we see on the other side. What if the other side isn't "evil" and isn't trying to take our rights. In my opinion this is the result of the two party system which gives power to the leaders of two parties and they will do anything to keep their powers. Their focus is on enriching themselves and generating more power. These are elected officials and party officials.

It is time for "We the people" to be involved in saving our country.

I go to the DMV in Hillsboro whenever we need to do DMV work. Since 95 it has taken 2 to 4 hours just to speak with a rep. The law changed last Feb requiring all applicants to have valid ssn and matching birth certificate. This last year I am called to a rep before I have completed filling out the paperwork (about 5 minutes). I don't know where everyone has gone but DMV is much quieter now.

I also have a Dazzle and it works ok but it is a very slow process. It records in real time so 8 hours of tape takes 8 hours to record. I am looking for other options. Suggestions are welcome.

Our family likes the 9mm caliber. The best bet is to find a gun dealer who has a range so you can shoot the guns before you buy to see what feels best for you and your wife.

I like the 9mm slide action rather than a revolver. The slide absorbs the shock better in my opinion. It is a matter of personal choice.

Vic We our fond of the ruger 89 & 90 series in the 9mm. Slide action with a large clip (15 rounds).

Prices are going up already so it is best not to put it off.

Been through cancer and chemo twice. The drugs can make you retain and drop water very quickly. Your size changes often so resizing a ring with weight changes isn’t reasonable. Also chemo can leave you with fuzzy thinking, it is an easy time to loose things. Taking off the ring for a couple of months is the easiest answer.

If you use any ssn other than your own you are breaking the law. Made up or not.

Is this a picture from CA or OR? I haven’t seen anything like that in Portland but I do lead a sheltered life.

We coordinate a BSA winter shooting program at a camp here in Oregon. We have 10 Marlin 880 10/22’s, peep sights, single-shot thanks to two NRA Foundation grants. There are about 3,500 shooters who go through over 10,000 rounds each year. The range officers are all NRA and Range Specific certified. The entire program is run by volunteers.

We expect the guns to last 10 years at this rate and replace 2 guns each year. They are holding up very well. 1st time shooters are successful due to the guns accuracy (the peep sights help a lot). I am very happy with the performance of the Marlin products we have used.

We have many friends and family who support Obama also. Give her a head's up as to your support of Palin and ask if she welcomes a different view. Best of luck.

I have the same type of cancer. There are treatments available that make this a chronic disease. She is terminal in the sense that cancer may kill her eventually but she could also die of old age. Depends on her response to the drugs.

I have gone through cancer twice now so I am familiar with the medical decisions involved with diagnosis, treatment options, side-effects, and life expectancy discussions. I have Blue Cross, Blue Shield. They have guidelines on what treatment will be covered. There are guidelines used by Oregon Medical which stated there needed to be a 5% chance of 5 years survival to approve the treatment.

When you receive a terminal diagnosis should you have the option of using any and all treatments available, without concern for cost or outcome? My health expenses has been almost 90k over the last 7 months. I am luck that the cancer is responding to the treatments. This woman has had several sessions over the last several years and she is running out of options. At what point do you say it is over.
