Yes, the policy will affect stores in Minnesota. I talked to the sporting goods dept mgr at the Detroit Lakes store. He said corporate made the call.

I wonder where Mr Blank gets his information that there is a growing concern with the safety at Walmart stores. I bet the poll that was done to get those results was a real doozy.

One other point I forgot. The drug companies can make cold pills without pseudoephedrin. It costs a little more, but it can be done.

On the program I referenced the DEA person compared it too the Quaalude problem we had years ago. He stated that the ban dried up the supply and ergo the problem.

The people running the labs in Mexico are buying the pseudephedrin by the ton. That is why the drug busts in this country are now of pounds of meth with street values of sometimes a million dollars.

Another problem the film revealed was the correlation of the availability of high grade meth and the number of addicts. The better the quality, the more addicts.

I would urge anyone interested in the meth problem to view the PBS program. It provided some good information on the problem. We live in a rural area and have had 3 busts within a 5 mile area of our home.

An answer is to ban the manufacture of psuedoephedren. There are 9 labs worldwide that make the cold medicine. PBS ran a special last week on Frontline about meth and it had some real interesting points. The pharmaceutical (sp) companies lobbied to not have the law banning cold meds passed. I think the Frontline episode may be still available on line.

There was a segment on him on Fox News this morning. It showed him going around talking to Republican groups in his district. What he was saying was pathetic. Stuff like the old "a man is presumed innocent" and all that jazz. Sounded like the honor graduate at the Clinton School of Vocabulary. If you did the crime, admit it, take your punishment and get on with your life.

Perhaps you missed Rep Tancredo's press release from last month. It is no longer a matter of "if", only a matter of "when". You are correct, history will not be kind.

Last time I looked the 2nd Amendment was to the US Constitution, the same one GW swore to uphold.

I believe you are correct. Maybe this was just a "dry run" to see how it would play out with the citizenry and the press. If Fox News hadn't caught the incident with the woman being roughed up me thinks not much would have come from this.

Where has the Attorney General of the US been on this? I haven't heard his take on the suspension of rights. Nor his bosses take on it either. I must have missed those speeches or press conferences. Is Superintendent Compass III still on the job with pay? Naw, can't be, must be in pretrial or out on bond waiting for his day in court.
The amazing thing is to still hear the claims of those here on this site and elsewhere who are willing to give up personal liberties for perceived safety. Like the politicians are gonna stop when they get one of their freedoms. It will be the same as the appeasement of Hitler by those who gave territory for peace Once Big Brother is fed, he will demand more, by force if necessary. This story only serves as proof.

Yeah and this kinda stuff is what I base my position on. I think with the upcoming elections this is going to happen more often. A pretty heavy game of political gotcha.
