If the TV documentaries regarding organized crime are to be believed, it’s been gong on for a long time. The documentaries consistently portray early 1900s NYC as being crime ridden with an ineffective police force. The mafia sold “protection” which was protection from the mafia, but, a real benefit was that if someone messed with you and you were paying protection, that person was in deep doo doo.

It seems NYC is ripe for the sale of protection.

The problem for universities is relatively easy to identify, and not so easily fixed. I went to night school after my military service in the late 1980s to early 1990s. I was paid roughly $270 a month from my GI bill benefit. I actually made money at the end of each term, and that included books! The cost of going to college is insane.

The other component that’s easy to see is the quality of the education. With all the crap courses they force students to take, and the focus more on indoctrination versus rigorous education, the perceived value of a college degree is very much diminished.

None of this can be fixed until the old hardcore liberals who run these establishments die off.

The political class has created so much tribalism in the American public that anyone on the same team as the candidate will vote for that candidate, no matter what.

It’s not just “the left”. It’s the global elite. As far as I can tell, the global elite are a group of people who were raised without any form of moral compass. The guiding light for these people is money and power. A stupid, compliant population is what they want, and they’ve done a great job making that happen. It turns out leftists are the globalists useful idiots.

Where this all will get messy is the introduction of muslims everywhere. I can’t see that working out well.

My perception is that England is weak willed and heavily influenced by muslims who couldn’t care less about the Falkland Islands.

Absolutely! It seems like the number of wealthy conservatives who will fight the communists is small, where the number of wealthy progressives who will support the commies is large.

I think the world had a psychotic break during covid. After 2020 there are more crazies than I ever remember seeing.

Government schools have rendered the American public incapable of critical thinking. Dark days ahead.

This is a global problem. For some reason, the global elites, the Soros and Schwab are pushing open borders, communism and islamization. It doesn’t make sense to me, because the monsters they are creating will eventually turn on them.

Crockett is a political animal. Sure she’s crude and not terribly deep intellectually, but she did manage to get elect once and she did parlay that into a very high profile.

That Crokett is bailing on Talerico is very telling.

I go by actions. I do not want unity with those that have done wrong. If you kill someone, there is no value in “unity”. If you watch 3000 Americans die and then elect a muslim communist, not much value in unity with those folks.

And I especially dislike those that try to frame their ad homeniem attacks as if they are intelligent observation.

I was never real fond of the aggressively ignorant people of NYC. Forgetting 9/11, as they have, confirms that the people of NYC are deserving of disdain.
