Sorry to disillusion you, but this time it was a Republican state house that approved it and a Republican governor who's vowed to sign it, if only it passes the Democratic state Senate.
Right at the moment I'm having a hard time seeing a dime's worth of difference between our local Republicrats and Demohicans.
I'm sorry to say that Mike Charron voted for it, but relieved to see that my old buddy Ray Vandeveer voted against it.
At least they didn't vote to spend money out of the state treasury for this thing, at least not right away. I'm confident that it will take at least two years for the residents of Hennepin county to state complaining about the unfair tax burden and demand that the funding burden get shifted to the rest of the state.
And if, in the entire brain trust of the Democratic Party, they don't have one person with the common sense of any ordinary bicycle repairman, then what hope do they have of solving the really complex problems?
I have saved this stupid button for 33 years. This was an official campaign button that was distributed nationwide by the McGovern for President campaign:
If you don't get the joke, then consider this question: what happens when one of these gears turns?
Should we all have the same "government issued" weapon?
Yes, absolutely. With the XM8 getting close to acceptance, it would make much more sense to give all those old M16 rifles to citizens, rather than just scrapping them or dumping them in warehouses somewhere.

Haven't they heard? "Transgender" and "metrosexual" is so, like, two years ago. The hot thing now is being ubersexual, like George Clooney or Bill Clinton.
Sheesh, these stupid kids in flyover land, they're always just so behind the times.
