“Also, married clergy bring something to the table that celibate clergy don’t. Married clergy live the problems all couples have. There is no way a celibate man understands how hard it is to raise a child, or make a marriage work.”
Let’s try your logic on a few other fields:
There is no way a sober man can counsel an alcoholic.
There is no way a heart surgeon can be a good heart surgeon unless he has had a heart attack.
The best psychiatrist is someone who is psychotic.

Okay everyone, listen up!
I’m the original poster, and I’m not a computer expert. I am an ordinary person with a simple question. I don’t want any more irrelevant posts about Windows 7, Outlook Express, Exchange, networks, etc. — please READ the original question, and give me a SIMPLE answer!
“Take two fingers. Place them on the iphone/touch screen. Quickly spread them apart. Voila! The letters are bigger.”
Yes the letters are bigger but then the column edges disappear outside the left and right boundaries of the screen, so it is impractical to read... you have to “zoom” left and right to read every single sentence in snippets... impractical...

On my iPhone, when I surf to the Free Republic site, it automatically formats to a narrow column that I can double-touch and read nicely.
But when I touch a thread title to select it, the result is a spread-out wide column that is too little to read. If I zoom in, the font gets bigger, but then the column edges disappear off the left and right side of the screen, making the thread impractical to read.
Anyone have the answer? Seems like this should be easy.
