  • Bigotry That Hurts Our Military (Don't Ask Don't Tell)

I know this is FR and all, but I'm a bit disturbed by the open hatred expressed here against gays. Before people go off on me, I'm not gay. I'm happily heterosexual and I have absolutely no desire to fathom the joys of gay sex.

But seriously...do you realize that some of you are mocking some Medal of Honor winners? What if they read this stuff? We're talking about guys and girls who will willingly put their lives on the line, eat dirt, and take bullets for this country. And a lot of people here are mocking their "manliness"? What about some of those Medal of Honor winners who almost died for our freedom? Were they not macho enough for you guys? Honestly...

Think about it. I know it goes against the religious beliefs of a hell of a lot of people here, which I can understand, but at least respect those gays who are willing to die for this country just to protect and defend us all. It ill behooves all of you to mock them when they give up so much for *all* of us, and that means you included.

Just try a little more tact. Gay soldiers aren't necessarily bad at all. The blockbuster film out these days is about 300 gay soldiers, with their hairdressers no less, standing heroically against Persians. So please folks...enough with bashing gays in the military in such a resentful manner.

And believe me, I do understand how your average soldier might be uncomfortable with an openly gay guy sharing showers and the like. I'm not saying it's wrong to disagree with gays being in the military, I just think you guys can do it with way more tact than that.

I would just like to add to this thread:

God's speed to the Israeli Army. I hope they all come home safe and sound. And, more importantly, I hope they kill every single last terrorist in Lebanon and Gaza, and then start on Syria and Tehran.

It's time this happened, and it is time that it is also ratcheted up a few notches.

I hope that they get Nasrallah someday soon. I would so very much like to be there. I was honorably discharged from the IDF after serving a small stint because of my age, but I would jump at the chance to help now if they called me. And if I were the one to get Nasrallah, I would make his screams echo throughout the world, without even broadcasting them, to make the bastards who support him literally crap in their pants for fear of what I'd do to them next. I'd do it to make all those stupid "humanitarian" commie groups literally blow their stacks so that I could laugh and jeer at them. They're scum. They defend scumbags and they deserve the same fate as terrorists.

    Screw them.

I'd just like to say a few more things:

In case any DU idiots are monitoring this, simply because most of them are stoners: I gloat at your demise. I really do. I laugh it up every time a Democrat and a "progressive" loses an election. I laugh every time one of your bills is voted down by a Republican majority in Congress.

I will never, ever, support the legalization of marijuana, simply because it is what the "progressives" want. Never. I will laugh every time we bomb the hell out of a terrorist enclave, and I will applaud at every terrorist we wax. I used to support some "liberal" causes in the past, but I won't anymore - because I hate the left. I loathe the left.

I voted for Clinton - twice. I vote for Gore in 2000. I'm glad he lost. I'm so frigging glad. In 2000, after the second Palestinian "intifada" began, and George Bush said that Israel had every right to defend herself, I applauded him. I started to become a Conservative. After 2001, in September, when I was in New York City and saw those burn and fall, and I saw how the left opposed the war in Afghanistan, I never would turn back. Ever.

Ten years ago, I would never have joined a site such as this. Now, I'm proud to be on Free Republic. A lot of my former friends moan the fact that I am. Many of them are horrified that I support Gun Rights, and Religious Rights (I'm a "devout" Atheist, as I like to call myself, but I defend Evangelicals).

In the 1990's, I supported the idea of the European Union. Now I want to tear it apart. In the 1990's, I still supported the United Nations. Now, I would gladly see it abolished forever and spit on it's grave.

I am so fed up with liberal causes that there are simply no words to express my disgust with them.

I am an Atheist who has been a "free thinker" for over twenty years. But I am an Atheist who would see an army of crusaders with a cross and star of david on their shields, taking over the Muslim world together and imposing our way upon them; humiliating them; grinding them into the dust; breaking their very last spirit in our own charge of defiance against them.

That is how much I have come to loathe the left. And that is why I will never support their causes.

It's too bad that some people have good arguments for legalizing marijuana, or euthanasia, or even gay marriage. But I couldn't care less. Perhaps I'll be willing to discuss it in a more rational tone one day, in the distant future, when the left has been utterly defeated and destroyed along with the enemies of this great civilization.

But that time isn't now. And I wouldn't ever bank on it.

I rarely comment on FR, but here's one time that I will comment:

Like many recent "Conservatives", I'm also a former "liberal" (although I was always VERY hawkish on defense and Israel - always - and loved Ronald Reagan when I was in High School).

Quite frankly, I've never cared one way or another if weed is legal or not. I just have one major problem with it's legality: You can't test for it immediately on drivers. If somebody is driving stoned, you can't give them a breath test to see if they are stoned. Imagine, if you will, that your kid's bus driver is stoned. Or, for that matter, your airplane pilot.

I need say no more on that matter. And I actually hate the argument "think of the children". I just think it is particularly apt in this case.

But that was the only problem I had with legalizing weed.

I do have a new problem with it, however, and it is quite simple (and also falls in my "problem" with gay marriage):

    The frigging hippies want it.

Quite frankly, I'm happy to oppose many things which the other side tries to champion, simply because I have grown to hate them so much. I know, it's absolutely illogical and it doesn't make for a great argument, but I'm human. After having lived in San Francisco for years during the entire anti-war fervor since 2002 (I moved a little over a year ago, thankfully), I've come to loathe anything which the commies and hippies want to legalize. It's just a natural, visceral, reaction against their evil ways. No, I'm not kidding, and no this isn't sarcasm.

I'll oppose the legalization of marijuana simply because it pisses them off - the same way that they piss me off. Sorry for the strong language, but I get a bit heated when thinking about them. I used to live, literally, about 4 or 5 blocks away from Haight and Ashbury street in San Fran, so you can imagine how bad it was. Everyone knew I voted for Bush, just as everyone knew I supported the war. I was a pariah. They loathed me. I frigging gloated the day that Bush won in 2004. And just for their dirty looks, I will always oppose them; and for their "Palestinian" keffiyehs and flags; and their commie shirts whilst parading in the streets half naked a if that would save the world.

I hated them for it. I started to hate the left since a while, but I truly started to hate them in San Francisco. The words "Social Justice" start to get me very upset. The word "Progressive" calls me into a frightful state.

I never really cared one way or another about euthanasia - which I now oppose because I hate them so much.

I never really cared about marijuana - which I now oppose because I hate them so much.

I never really cared about gay marriage - which I now oppose because I hate them so much.

And every time people ask me why I take these stances, I tell them very publicly: because the left hated me, and I hate them back. I make no bones about it, and I mean it very deeply: I really hate them.

I can't forgive them. If they want to legalize marijuana, and gay marriage, they have lost an ally for a long time to come. If they want to learn about root causes, they should first look in the mirror at the amount of people they have driven away with their insane "ideals" about what they should and should not support during a time of war.

Again: illogical and not based on the moral arguments which many here on FR make on a daily basis, but it's a stance. It's my stance.

Let them rot in hell for all I care. If they want to get stoned, they can buy a bottle of booze.

I wonder how many others out there are like me, driven away by the leftists because of their hatred for Western civilization and willfully bending over for the terrorists to become their battered, willing, wives in bed.

I don't know. But I do know that I am one such person.

I hope that this has been instructive. Again, it is not sarcasm. Yes, I hate them that much. I am proud to have voted for Bush in 2004. I would vote for him again in 2008 if only he could run again. I have disagreed with Bush on many issues, but I support our security, and our country, and Israel. And anyone on the other side who doesn't gets a big American middle finger from me.

By the way, your tag line is one of my favorite lines and used to be a tag line of mine about ten years ago on a forum.

Before anyone forgets, most American Jews in Israel who could vote in 2004 voted for George W. Bush - not the rat-faced Democrat.

The "I'm surprised" bit was pure sarcasm, I assure you. :)

My point still stands though: It'll be "The Jews" who did it in the Arab "Press" within a few days. I pretty much can bet any amount on that pediction.

And like some others said: the cartoons were probably more "offensive" to Islam than this was. That's because they didn't do it. And every Muslim "knows" that no "real" Muslim could have done this either, so it'll be "the Jews" all over again.

    Want to take that bet?

I'm very surprised at all of you, and I expected far, far, more.

You're all looking at this the wrong way. Please, for a moment, step back and think about what is going to happen.

I've read comments about civil war and wanting blood and all the rest. Comments about how other countries might even get involved (such as Iran). But think, just think before you type that all out! Please.

Are you telling me that none of you see what's about to happen?

Are you telling me that you've all learned nothing from previous "tragedies" such as this?

Whom are they actually going to blame?

    I'll tell you: The Jews.

It's really simple. Remember when that hotel was blown up in Amman, Jordan? What was the response that they gave, even after Zarquawi admitted (twice!) that he had done it?

"It was the Jews who did it, because no Muslim could have done this!"

Guys, seriously, any takers on this bet? I'm willing to bet at this point. I'm willing to bet that some frigging whacked-out Imam, all peaced-up on the "Religion of Peace" is going to rant and rave about how this is really the work of:

    1) Zionism 2) Israel 3) Jews

I bet you all know I'm right, and I bet you all agree with me as well.

Hell, didn't you know that the Danish cartoons were (according to the Muslim world in their own press) a Jewish conspiracy? And we all obviously "know" who really flew those planes on 9/11, right? At least according to the adherents of the "Religion of Peace".

Any takers on my bet. I bet I'm right. It'll be any day now that we're going to hear from the Muslim world that (and this is a near-quote...wow, I can predict the future):

"No Muslim could have done this. It must have been the Jews."

    Thanks for the replies, everyone.

    I'm that Blogger.

Concerning language: I actually don't curse like this in real life. I just happen to get mad at times and rant with the F-bomb in ways hitherto unseen in the English language. Might I add, however, that one of the best writers about this conflict, Oriana Fallaci, uses it as well, and much to her own merit. It expresses the rage in a suitable way (if used correctly), and I don't see too many people complaining about her usage thereof.

Naturally, I'm not famous like she is, but I endeavor to try.

Either way, I write how I feel. If you read back into my archives, most of my posts (even some of the rants) don't go off on the deep end like this one does.

    Just sayin'.

    Well, I tested a fabulous 18 non-homophobic.

    Oh...my...*God*! Wasn't that simply *divine*?

I did strongly agree that I make jokes about gay people. But then again, I make jokes about everyone. Gay people are far too...mmm..."sensitive", donchathink?

I also said I don't care either way about "gay marriage" because, I don't. Actually, I pretty much tell a lie. I used to not care so much that I thought it should be legal. But seeing as how the "Gay community" decided to act towards the Bush administration for the war on terrorism (I was living in SF at the time), I decided to piss them off and rain on their parade. I know, I know, collective punishment is cruel and unusual, but I couldn't give a damn. Yup, I actually told people around me that this is why I wouldn't "march" with them.

Somehow, I also don't think that organizations which "promote gay rights" are necessary because, well, they aren't. So I was against that and obviously it made my score go up closer into the "homophobic range". Duh.

It's a bogus test and it's a bogus set of answers and results.

And for the people who were too rushed for time to read everything carefully: if you answered "Strongly Disagree" with everything, you're not reading the questions and you won't get 100% anti-gay (or pro-gay). Some questions are "pro-gay" and some are "anti-gay", meaning you'll be screwing up your perfect score. Read it again and see what I mean.

Oh, and "metrosexual" is just another name for "immature sissy", in my book. I just had to say that.

I, henceforth, believe that Islam is exactly like Nazism. If there were 1.2 billion Nazis in the world today, I would have the exact same formula to defeat them: blow them up until they beg for mercy.

Sorry, but I don't see the difference between Nazis and Islamists - or most Muslims in general. When Nazis went around and tried to kill Jews and everyone else who wasn't like them, and Muslims are doing the same, what the hell is the difference? Skin color? I'm sorry, I won't be a racist and let that get in the way of calling something unjust and wrong.

I hate them, and they hate me, and they are the enemy. And just as there were a few renegade Germans out there who tried to fight it off, the majority went along because they agreed with it. So, until they are defeated - permanently - that is exactly what they are: The New Nazis, the New enemy, and the next in line to be defeated.

If you want to know why and how I REALLY think this way, you can read this VERY strongly worded piece that I wrote:

    http://nerra.com/broadsword/archives/2005/11/14/742/you-want-to-kill-a-muslim-really-fast/

He's from Cole Valley - I used to see him every day at the coffee shop and around the area. For those of you who don't know, I used to live there until around 6 months ago when I moved to Arizona.

A lot of the "uber liberal" bloggers - the "technoratis" of the great 90's internet time - live right there in Cole Valley. It's an area that is around 4 square blocks and butts up to the Haight Ashbury cross streets.

So, no surprises there. Most people have no clue what it's like there but it's the origin for a lot of the internet "liberal left". I used to see it every day, used to listen to it everyday, and then I left it out of disgust. I'm the only one I know of who actually voted Republican in all of Cole Valley, and you can pretty much take that to the bank. Ask most people who work at Tully's and they will know exactly who I am, and whom I voted for.

Absolutely nothing new about this. My cousin lives right up the street from Craig, btw, and he's of the same persuasion. I never saw eye to eye with him or his friends, though he is and was a good cousin to me.

So, the next time you hear "Cole Valley", remember that since I'm no longer living there, that you can bet they are on the left.

    And I mean that literally.

BTW, if you DO have a friend in Cole Valley who also voted the other way, please mail me and let me know. I'd love to know that I was not the only one. But as far as I can tell, I was.

I think I made history or something. It was a great feeling when I gloated last November.

    Everyone knew.

I'm going to write the ultimate PC essay wherein I shall prove - without a doubt - that Christopher Columbus was a gay, Muslim-Pagan, Indian Transvestite whose entire goal was to enlighten the already enlightened Native Americans about the crystal-loving Atlanteans who rode dolphins on the waves (as did Columbus himself, which is why he was such an incredible seaman), until the evil church got hold of his crew and destroyed his multicultural Utopian ideal.

I wonder who would actually fall for it? :)
