History teaches some very good lessons. They are hard to learn but our forefathers did a great job. From the beginning of time man has overthrown one form of centralized government only to re-establish another one in its place. Our forefathers understood this far better than anyone ever had. The rewards of accomplishment I think are self evident to all. Very few would disagree. The disagreement comes when one tackles lack of accomplishment. Accomplishment brings its own rewards. Of which there are many. Pride in a job well done. Self esteem. Most likely a higher standard of living. Most likely praise from ones colleagues. Republic = good Union of Soviet Socialist Republics = Communism = bad. Generations of Americans were brought up being taught communists are our enemies and communists are bad. This is true. In 1977 I saw a lady who was a friend and a patient of eighteen years. Let's call her Dorothy. Dorothy was in her early 40's, she had five kids, four of whom still at home, and she was a very pleasant person. I noticed her left eye seemed to be lower in its socket than in previous observatioins. Now this is a very unusual stituation. Free Republic and Liberty Post.org To all: I would hope your appearances and posting on these pages states your desire to undo years of liberal policies in this land I hope we all dearly love. I would hope that a hundred successful LibertyPost.org and FreeRepublics would advance the cause we all hold near and dear. From what I have read here it seems many are more interested in fighting each other than they are in advancing the cause of individual liberty and limited constitution government as envisioned by our forefathers. When I was a young man, one of the womens magazines had a monthly feature "Can This Marriage be Saved" which would have both sides tell their stories, followed by a marriage counselor who disected the imput from both parties. Then the story followed up on the results. Obviously some cases were hopeless, but many that seemed to be hopeless were resolved.

The Freepathons are hard work for those of us who work the threads and the incoming donations. When donations come in it is our reward, no matter how small they are. We spend our time thanking the donor, posting amongst our selves, etc. When it gets quiet and hours go by without any incoming donations it gets very frustrating. So we go out and carpet bomb the threads to create more incoming donations.Here is where the problem starts. If you don't like our appeals, just scroll past them or DONATE. Prior to the time we started the quarterly fundraisers, I would post a donation link without other comment on some of my replies on random threads. This proved to be rather successful.
