The populace is still having way too many babies. They don’t know what’s about to hit them.

AI is going to destroy 80% of the population’s chance at having a normal employed productive happy life. Add to that illegals, outsourcing, unsustainable debt, all the usual stuff and you’ll see the current birth rate is still dangerously high except for governments needing you taxes and corporations needing desperate cheap labor.

This is just SOOOO corrupt. After the mortgage securities crash of 2008/2009, banksters got bailed out by the government (both Republicans and Democrats guilty) and gave themselves bigger bonuses while hardworking Americans lost their homes. Looks like the same may happen again if/when AI crashes.

Meanwhile, keep fighting about abortion, DEI, transgender stuff, race-baiting, gender-baiting, and other silly stuff.

Let the fertility and birthrate plummet to hell. Who needs humans when you have AI. AI works 24/7, cheap, doesn’t need vacations, benefits, healthcare, HR, right? Corporations, go ask AI to buy your products. Governments, go ask AI to pay taxes. Why have more humans when there’s no jobs for them.

I'm tired of bible-thumpers and the retired boomers and other moralists lecturing the young on what they think is the right way to live their lives.

Have you ever been a 22 year old having spent a fortune and worked through nights to get through college only to be crafting and sending hundreds of your resumes into the AI abyss without finding an entry-level job?
Have you been a 28 year old unable to afford even a starter house because the government money printing made the dollar you earn worth less and illegals drove up home prices?
Have you been a 36 year old with a wife and kids and mortgage and the field you put painstaking efforts to master will now be done by AI and you will be tossed aside like a used orange peel?

This is the first generation in history that feels their children will have a worse future than them.

The European Union’s population is expected to plunge by 53 million by the end of the century........

End of century? Then who cares. In other news, petroleum will run out in 100 years, the Atlantic Ocean current will collapse in 50 years and the sun will run out of hydrogen in 5 billion years. I don't worry about those things either.

But playing devil’s advocate, at least a Britisher can quit a job with an abusive boss, without risking bankruptcy due to some medical thing come up after losing health coverage.

AI clearly threatens the United States more than Iran, and the few people in Washington who care about regular citizens should stop this project before it becomes too powerful to destroy. Why, exactly, does America need AI? To make rich people even richer? To expand the wealth gap even wider? To twist the knife in the heart of the Middle Class as it desperately gasps for air? AI is fantastic for Wall Street, but it’s terrible for average Americans. The latter should matter more.
