Actually, this is a very compelling ad. Granted, if all's she does is run this for the next month, she's toast. But as an introduction to the mind-numbed moderates (with which Delaware seems to be inordinately endowed) it presents a simple and, let's be honest, cute girl whom anyone would trust. It lays the basis for more policy oriented ads coming. Moreover, think of the reaction if the Coonster now tries to continue to go negative on her. Picking on the girl and all that.

Thanks for that. I was just getting ready to pull my copy of Introduction to pull out the same quote. I had just finished reading it this summer. Of course, having shown by this one quote the dishonesty (or, to be fair, possibly the intellectual and/or spiritual deficiencies) of the author, I'm sure those who posted and supported it will sally forth to offer their apologies since, without doubt, its clear the Holy Father is saying the Resurrection of Christ is beyond and above other resurrections mentioned in the Bible.(sarcasm tag off)

I just started taking VD3 and am taking 1(one) tablet with 1000iu. Are you saying I should take more? I’ve always struggled with the ‘winter blues.’ I’ve known for a long time that I had immensely more energy in the summer than the winter and thought the sun had something to do with it. I live in Central Illinois and in the winter get virtually no exposure to the sun at all.

However, the AMA, Big Pharma, and AARP all got multi-billion dollar deals to sell themselves. Hence, in the context of Washington elite liberal whores, Landruie's paltry 300 million makes her the equivalent of a $20 hooker.

Here's a thought. Maybe this guy was a big Obama backer. Maybe he actually believed the Bamster was going to close Gitmo, bring the troops home, etc.

Now, after a year, when its apparent none of this is going to happen, he snaps and loses it. In other words, maybe the Bamster's the one responsible for dashing this guy's hopes, causing him to commit this atrocity.

Seems like every day another one of these Obama hacks comes out feigning 'worry' over the Bamster's safety.

I beginning to wonder if they are engaging in a little wishful thinking. Right now, people like Peggy Noonan are looking pretty stupid. Her and her elitist ilk fell for this nobody big time. Their supposed to be the best and the brightest and they went all in on a guy who more and more is looking like a pair of dueces.

I'm starting to wonder if they're not hoping he gets taken out because they're worried that by 2012, everyone will realize just how stupid they were to support such a nobody, leaving their own reputations and, more importantly, their own egos in tatters.

Hence, I think secretly they want something to happen to Obama so they can make a martyr out of him and save their own skins.

Two points.

First, its apparent from news reports Obambi had to announce the facility's existence today since Iran informed the IAEA about its existence earlier in the week. This is NOT good news for Obambi, despite how Reuters and others may be spinning it. It makes him look the fool for his speech yesterday which may have been why Iran revealed this in the first place.

This leads to the second point. Obambi's a narcissist. He doesn't like being made to look the fool. Hence, there's a real danger as to how he will react. Should he get sanctions, 'with teeth,' how will the Nut Job react? His regime internally is weak. His only option may be some kind of hurried but effective attack on Israel and WWIII is on.

Our only good option here would have been for the last year to be setting the stage and getting the assests in place to take these facilities out. I doubt that's been done. Hence, we face the worst possible situation. A president immature, out of his depth, and dangerously emotional faces an insane apocolyptic. As I stated on another thread, recently, 'My advice to you, (America), is to start drinking heavily.'

Leaving aside the potential broken laws, etc. I think one of the more disturbing things is just how inarticulate this young woman seems to be. I thought all these Obama types were supposed to be the intellectual elites? This girl sounds little different from a group of sophomore girls in high school discussing how they are going to get their friend elected homecoming queen.

This, in a nut shell, is why my oldest son will be graduating from Christendom this spring and my oldest daughter will be applying for admission this fall for entrance next fall.

And, not to brag or anything, but both of them could have easily gotten into Notre Dame. Indeed, I was speaking to a Notre Dame student roughly a year ago about the whole V-Monologue thing, and pointed out that's why my kids would go to a real Catholic college instead of ND. Snottily, she told me that, of course, not everyone could get into ND. I asked her her ACT score. My son's was higher. I asked her her class rank, my son's was higher and if my daughter stays on track, she'll be way higher.

The ND student, poor thing, simply couldn't understand why anyone would go anywhere else.

Perhaps an organized boycott of those who advertise on NBC during Notre Dame games would rectify this situation.

I've been wondering something similar. Back in the day, I worked alot with survey research data. People just don't understand how the assumptions which underlie the analysis affect the outcome. I know Freepers know this. But consider Obi Wan's more subtle point.

Suppose your a pollster for, say, Ohio. You look at the registration numbers to set your targets for polling and see that 200,000 more Democrats are registered than in 2004. You adjust the percent of Democrats upward accordingly to reflect this change in your polling population. You take your poll and find Obama with a 4% lead, release your results and head out to dinner.

But there's a problem. The 200,000 additional registered Democrats were signed up by ACORN and about 175,000 of them are fake -fake regestrants falsified by some ex-con who was getting paid $5 a signature.

Come election day, "Mr. Mickey Mouse," "Mr. Osama B. Ladin" et. al. don't show up at the polls. Suddenly, that 4 point lead is a 4 point deficit.

In other words, what if the Left is right. What if there has been massive voter registration fraud, but that's all there is. Obama may have just spent the last days of the campaign wasting time in places that weren't that important(Arizona, for example) when he should have been in states where his lead didn't really exist.

And all because he was misled by registration drives conducted by his own people.

It would be one heck of an irony.

I admit, it seems almost impossiblee that McCain could be anything but double digit down in California. But I must say, there is one thing that's bothering me.

Polls show Prop. 8 doing fairly well. It strains credulity to believe a large number of people are going to turn out to vote against gay marriage, but then turn around and vote for Obama who will federalize it.

Just a thought.

I've had very similar thoughts as this writer. I've been struck by Obama's inability to hit over 50% in any polls but the most outrageously weighted outliers. Given the economy, media bias, etc., its almost unfathomable that if a likely voter were going to vote for Obama, he or she wouldn't have already made that decision. In this light, Obama is almost like an incumbent.

Right now, the better polls are showing its somewhere between a 3 to 5 point race. Basically, its roughly 48-43 at worst. Assume this guy is right, and roughly 80% of the undecideds break toward McCain, and its 50-50. However, this assumes the pollsters have the party breakdown, PERFECT. Historically, this is very unlikely. Historically, they've always undercounted Republicans by at least 2 to 4% even in the better polls.

Hence, using what to my mind are fairly conservative assumptions, and assuming no further movement in the polls toward McCain -unlikely given that the polls seem to be moving in his direction, right now- and it seems to me McCain would win if the election were held today by at least 1 to 2 percent -either 50.5-49.5 or 51-49.

Maybe McCain knows better? Zogby has the race to 4 points, Gallup to 3 points, TIPP to 3 points. Does that sound like someone in need of a knockout? Yes, other polls show it much worse... but maybe they're wrong?

And I hope you're right and it really is that close. But the fact McCain and Palin are spending so much time in states like Virginia tells me their own internal polls must not look real hot.

I hate to disagree with you all, but here's my take.

The Fox pundits knew that McCain needed a knock-out blow. He needed to really hit Obama and portray him as an untrustworthy socialist.

He just couldn't do it. He's spent most of his life running against us, his own party. He just doesn't know how to run against a liberal, he's spent his life kissing their...well, ya know. Hence, the Fox pundits are disappointed.

Page and CNN and all the others can be generous to him, now, since they know he blew his last chance.

Take, for example, the abortion debate. McCain did fine, as far as he went, but he didn't seal the deal by stressing Obama's support for the Freedom of Choice Act -the first piece of legislation Obama will sign into law which will give us the most radical abortion laws in the world.

McCain just doesn't have it in him to actually criticize a Democrat.

I still hope and pray that he wins, but with each passing day its becoming difficult to see just how that will happen
