  • Jerry Falwell Jr. Resigns from Liberty U Following Scandal

It amazes me it never enters their minds..Hey,I could get blackmailed for this..Maybe I should stop...

What amazes me is how many people were buying what Falwell Jr has been selling and thought he was innocent.

From the time the pool boy stuff became public, and it came out that Jr. was investing money in a gay hostel, most of us older/more cynical folks assumed that somebody was cheating on somebody. When that photo came out a few weeks ago, it was like "yep, Falwell is exactly what we thought."

We haven’t understood the effect of contraception on women’s moral decisions.

She's in her 50s. Going to go out on a limb and say that that condoms, pills, whatever is not why the Falwells were doing weird stuff or the pool boy.

And plenty of us have used contraception for decades, and somehow our spouses weren't doing the pool boy and we weren't investing in gay hostels with said pool boy.

When you are parroting the talking points of Nancy Pelousi and the Portland 'Rat Mayor, you need to reassess your thinking...

You kids are adorable when you dodge the issue. It is absolutely true that when the feds act like this, it presents a rallying point for the other side.

I don't care how much that triggers you, I don't care if some lefties agree with that statement, because hey, a broken clock is right every now and then.

The feds don't need to be driving around in unmarked vehicles and grabbing people. Put up some bigger barriers around the fed buildings (better yet, tell the Portland mayor you'll move the fed jobs to another town that can get it's crap together), stick close to those buildings, and let the idiots run wild in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Eventually, the people of Portland/Oregon will have had enough, and either the mayor or governor step in and clamps down, or they will be out of jobs when their next reelection is up.

Why are you willfully blind to 50 nights in a row of domestic terrorism in Portland? If we can’t use force to put down such acts of political terrorism now we never will be. Game. Set. Match. Adios America. Hello revolutionary communism.

Why are you willfully blind to the fact that if the city of Portland and the state of Oregon wanted to end this, they could. Because the feds want to cosplay the Stasi (look it up if you're too young to know that means), the Portland mayor and Oregon governor don't have to get their hands dirty.

If the feds back off, you'll see National Guard in there clearing them out on the orders of the governor.

The photos I saw just had "POLICE" on generic tabs, and nothing identifying them with specific units. I saw way too many photos of feds dressing and acting like they were in the military.

I'm just saying - if this were Obama or a Biden or Harrison or whatever, a lot of people here cheering the feds on in 2020 would be losing their minds.

You know how you handle it? You let Portland handle it. When the feds do this kind of stuff, they turn the discussion/argument from the actions of the antifa idiots to feds engaging in banana republic behavior, and it gives the antifa idiots something to focus on and rally around.

You can keep the federal facilities intact, you can hang tight around there with clearly marked security, not generic "police" badges, and you stick close to those facilities.

But let antifa run wild everywhere else, and then you will see businesses and citizens who tire of it quickly, and antifa will be their target, and they will make it clear to the people in charge that either they get rid of antifa, or they face losing every election coming up.

Even if the mayor wants to sympathize with the antifa creeps, at the end of the day, they are just another politician who wants to hold onto power, and the businesses and citizens can take that power away in the next election.

All this crap the feds are doing is (ironically) getting people used to a unmarked federal presence, and it's presenting a rallying point for the anarchists or whatever the hell they are.

Are we cool if this exact same thing happens under a President Biden or a President Kamala Harrison?

Are we absolutely cool with the feds rolling in with unmarked vehicles, with generic "police" labels on their fatigues, decked out in camouflage like they were in Afghanistan, and pulling people off the street into those unmarked vehicles, without bothering to tell them why they are under arrested or being detained?

Because I have more than a few friends and acquaintances who, for years, have talked about this exact scenario happening. And here we are, and they are mum about it.

Not that any of them would resist federal agents, but they sure as hell talked up a good game about how they would resist this kind of stuff under Obama.

Hell, when we had the Jade Helm stuff going on, plenty of of us were looking at maps and what the commanders were saying about the exercises, and figuring out that we were about to send Green Berets into Syria, which we did.

But those idiots who, nowadays, believe in that qanon nonsense and Alex Jones, were like "this is the first wave, and they are prepping us, and they are going to detain us and put us in underground facilities or empty Walmarts or whatever."

And here we are, we have seen plenty of feds engaging in behavior that many said they would resist. But it's cool, because the guy in the White House says he's a Republican, so everything is fine. The qanon idiots are probably waiting on their "DRINK MORE OVALTINE" secret coded messages as well, to explain things to them.

Obviously you're not a Christian, but wanting a bunch of Americans killed with flame throwers.....you really should rethink your priorities in life.

The regular Army was used in Detroit in 1967 and LA in 1992. No new precedent is being set here.

Oh, I'm well aware of it - I was in high school then, doesn't mean I agree with it. These are state issues, that need to be dealt with at the state level, just like the covid business needed to be dealt with at the state level.

Because just in the past 40 years, we've went from the Democrats being the party of Jimmy Carter to the party of Barrack Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Just like this twitter executive order nonsense will eventually be used against conservative social media platforms such as Free Republic.

While the Republicans are focused on the here and now, as a Conservative, I've got my eye on the long term, and I know liberals will be able to pull these playbooks out and say "TRUMP DID IT, SO WE CAN DO IT!"

Wrong decision. Let the states take care of themselves. I f Trump does anything next we will hear he is playing dictator and stopping free expression of people.

Oh please, the libs are already saying he's doing that.

The reason why it's the wrong decision, is because a liberal administration will use this against us in the future. Trump is giving them a playbook, and you can damn sure bet they will use it.

US Troops moving on domestic issues? Or does this become legal if inssurection is declared?

The libs are salivating over this, because the precedent is being set to use this in the future, and you better believe the libs will use it in the future.

AFAIK, you can use the military if the situation is proving to be too much for just the state level to handle it. There’s no point in using the military to carpet bomb a criminal in a farmhouse, nationwide chaos sounds very different though,

The Secretary of Defense was just on saying the troops need to "dominate the battlespace". While I know he's talking about National Guard, the are America cities, not Iraq or Afghanistan, and terminology is very important.

Those of you cheering on all of this, just remember, the Dems are taking notes and will be using the same gameplan in the future.

Especially those of you cheering on cops randomly shooting law-abiding citizens with rubber bullets, etc.

"This is the first time I have heard of incels"

I doubt it. It's just that other names were used - basement dwellers as Trump branded them, snowflakes, the Qanon idiots (there's a reason why their choice of forums overlaps with the incel crowd), loners, losers, white supremacists, etc.

Basically mentally unstable males (usually younger) full of greed, envy, jealousy, etc. that want to blame everybody else for whatever their woes are - you know, blame women, minorities, Jews, Christians, the wealthy, etc,

Plenty of mass shooters in the past would be lumped into the incel crowd if the word was more widely used in the past.

My kids (all adult now, from early 20s through mid-30s) all knew a kid or two in their high schools that fit the "incel" profile.

I thought initially in Iraq following the toppling of Hussein that, while the Kurds didn’t get to declare independence from Iraq, they had autonomy in northern Iraq. Where does that stand today?

Judging by today's announcement, it means it's only a matter of time until Turkey invades Iraq to wipe out those Kurds. And we will stand aside while they do.

It's cute how all of the idiots think Turkey is just after ISIS or just trying to stabilize an already stabilized area.

Turkey is getting the green-light to commit genocide against a group of people that it's wanted eliminated for decades, even centuries. Guess trying to wipe out the Armenians wasn't enough for the Ottomans.

Don’t want to have to fight another protracted war against Turkey.

So you think Turkey is going to attack US forces? Really? Do you honestly believe that?

That would mean that Turkey does not respect us, that they think they are stronger than us.

Putting aside Trump's financial interests with his Trump Towers in Istanbul or whatever, that would run counter to what he has proclaimed, that we are a great country that nobody would ever mess with.

But you think Turkey is going to attack US forces.

How far we have fallen on the world stage if you think Turkey, flipping Turkey, is going to attack us.

Get out of the ME. We have are own oil and gas now. Let the euroweenies help them.

That's a very naive take on things. Putting aside Kushner's love affair with the Saudis, all those oil and gas companies you are talking about, all have interests in the ME.

There is, unfortunately, a reason why we prop the Saudi royals up, kiss their butts, and look the other way when they do horrendous things. And the same with the Turks.

We have only 1,000 US troops there. get them out or they will be killed by the Turks. Then another war will start.

Really? You really think the Turks will attack us if we don;'t get our troops out of another country?

So we have to cower in front of mighty Turkey? Our NATO "ally" is going to attack us if we don't leave Syria?

That's how far we've fallen in the eyes in the world, that if we don't leave, Turkey will start slaughtering US troops?

Remember February of last year, when the Russian "mercenaries" attacked our Green Berets and Marines in Syria? How did that work out for those Russians? You probably have never heard of the battle, so I will give you the Cliff's notes version: Our troops on the ground, along with the Air Force, slaughtered hundreds, and none of our guys were killed. I'm not even sure if any were seriously wounded.
