A Michigan lawmaker wants to register reporters to ensure they’re credible and have “good moral character.” State Sen. Bruce Patterson is introducing legislation that will regulate reporters much as the state regulates hairdressers, auto mechanics and plumbers. Patterson, who also practices constitutional law, says the general public is being overwhelmed by an increasing number of media outlets -- traditional, online and citizen generated -- and an even greater amount of misinformation. “Legitimate media sources are critically important to our government,” he said. He told FoxNews.com that some reporters covering state politics don’t know what they’re talking about and they’re working...

Ok, i have a problem. I've got a super blackhawk, 44magnum, that has a cylinder pin latch that doesn't want to hold the pin in place. I have to push it back in every 2d or 3d shot to keep it going. has anyone else held this problem or do you know any fixes for it? It was manufactured in 1976, I don't know how many rounds have been fired thru it, but I've put about 5,000 thru it in the last year, most loads were 240gr LSWC loaded with 10.3gr unique.

The American Medical Association along with a U.S. consumer group on Thursday urged health officials to put stricter regulations on salt, saying it has reached dangerous levels of excess in American diets. The AMA and the U.S. Center for Science in the Public Interest made their presentation before health officials at the meeting convened by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in Maryland. The groups said processed foods containing large amounts of salt are causing heart disease and high blood pressure. The CSPI said if manufacturers used 50 per cent less salt in their food, 150,000 lives would be saved....

A Detroit charter schools says one student's hairdo is definitely a don't and tells him to lose the Afro puff or don't come back. But the mother of Claudius Benson II says her son's school went too far, and she's suing. Benson, 14, hasn't cut his hair in 10 years. Officials at his school, Old Redford Academy, say the ninth-grader was suspended because his hair is too long. The dress code requires "close-cropped" hair. So why is his mom suing? Alecha Benson says she follows the Old Testament passages that she interprets as prohibiting the cutting of her son's hair,...

Well, the Late Great State of Tennessee has answered our open letter. Not in words but in actions. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday August 3-6, there were some 14 Tennessee Highway Patrol vehicles and a couple of Blount County Sheriffs cars blatantly harassing both motorcycles and cars on the 11 miles of the Dragon. They promise to be here for the next month. Talk about showing your ignorance. These actions prove Tennessee does not welcome visitors to this area. One Trooper pulled me over for no reason. I was on my motorcycle following three cars at the posted 30 mph...

DURHAM - Gun owners looking to reload would have to show a permit every time they buy ammunition, if a bill backed by Durham officials gains state approval. The proposal championed by the Rev. Melvin Whitley, a local community activist, will face opposition from gun-rights groups. Whitley told state lawmakers and Durham City Council members Monday that anyone over 18 can buy ammunition without being subject to any background check. That means felons, who aren't allowed to own guns or ammo, can buy bullets unfettered. Requiring a permit to buy bullets, just as the state does for firearms, is a...
